I live in Mississauga, ON. Moved here from the Caribbean. I can believe that aboriginal people pay no taxes; that would be adding insult to injury. But despite that, many still have it bad.

My point is that before Europeans came and took this land, it was theirs, and now it's not theirs anymore. And sometimes I feel guilty that I live a relatively good life here in Canada.

Now, will a North American Union hurt or help? Don't know. If it comes, I hope for the best, especially for aboriginals.

Protecting and preserving peaceful cultures is vital to any society. And you're quite right; hoping for a better future is in no way an effective strategy to enact positive change. I suspect that may have in large part caused this criminality that your people have been facing for so long.

If it will help, I will visit a First Nations community as soon as I can.

Dr. Moulden knows nothing about Canadian Constitutional law. He regurgitates party policy as per CAP indoctrination. CAP is calling for a REFERENDUM on North American Union, whereas the Constitution of Canada, if you knew what you were talking about, absolutely prohibits the annexation of Canada to the USA, because that is its statutory purpose. The BNA Act, 1867, was formed to prevent annexation of our founding colonies to the USA. A referendum adds a YES option which the constitution FORBIDS.

2. The CAP continually disinforms the public that the "only" way to stop NAU is for people to ELECT representatives to go in and "take back" the country. This is moronism. The Constitution of Canada has a supremacy clause at s. 52 which entrenches the Constitution against annexation.
