  • Don Drummond jr., Skin Tone 1980 vinyl release

  • Vin Gorndon, "Skin Tone" year of original release 1980 on Real Wax Records by the way it’s on Vinyl

  • it´s called Skin Tone by Don Drummond Junior(Vin Gordon)

  • Nice tune anyway.

  • Ska is sooooo woderful :)

    Cha Cha Cha Cha :D

  • i like ska but cant stand that...just dull

  • @MrAxlson Fair enough- this is pretty slow and mellow as far as most ska goes

  • @MrAxlson ..... each to their own mate, but I actually enjoyed this. A damn fine instrumental imho.

  • Hell yea SKA

  • This is actually by Don Drummond jr. and was the b side to the single the Clash and Spacials go to jail, which had nothing to do with either band. It was released on Rush Records in 1980. the 12" had a dub version of the song which is well worth a listen.

  • Hmm... I'll have to look into that.

  • @thejam1979

So was it Don Drummond trombone player for skatalites!...or Don Drummond jr.???(his son??)

  • @thejam1979 hey.. do you know where i can get that vinyl your talking about?? im very interested in this song.. thanks

  • yeah, i have this under the specials and the clash, but I doubt it as well. Anyone?

  • This is possibly my favorite song of all time to skank to , has so many good start stop opportunities. I just love ska.

  • madness rudy ska

    :)

  • Perhaps the world will never know.

  • I have it from being from The Specials and it sounds like The Specials to me. I doubt The Clash had anything to do with the song.

  • where can i downlodr this sogn >:o very angry face i want to know PLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

    i luv this track

  • download in ARES or LIMEWIRE.

    The clash - rudy ska

  • What a coincidence! I also have this song and it's issued as being from The Specials and the Clash. I also doubt that they had anything to do with this song. If someone's sure about the original artist/band please tell me

  • this doesn't sound anything like either band, but the trombone solo sounds like Rico Rodriguez, the guy who played trombone for The Specials. Perhaps it may remain a mystery for ever:P.

  • Yes, Rico might have something to do with this track, since he is a very renowned musician, who also performed, apart from The Specials, with Dandy Livingstone, Prince Buster and other amazing jamaican ska/rocksteady/reggae artists.
