if think this form you are using is safe try doing it without a pussy belt and straps anyone trying to outlift me has to use nothing at all if they cant then they arent in my league all you need is perfect technique and control no crutches like belts and straps
@xagentpoop I am struggling to find where you read anyone calling this a bent over row. Regardless, he's lifting over 400lbs, he knows what he's doing.
Looked really good, especially for such a heavy weight. Looks like I need to lower more slowly like you do. I think that's why I keep getting hurt. I probably lower too fast and then quickly transition into the positive phase of the movement.
Jimisa how are ya?! I know this 8th grader you speak of... I'm guessing his name starts with a D?...bring his girly ass down and let's see him play with the big boys!!! hahahaha
I hate how everyone asks how much they bench, when people ask me how much i can bench, i tell them then ask "How much do you Row/Deadlift/Squat/Shoulder Press (Standing, and bar touching upper chest)
They dont even know, all they do is bench haha and wonders y im twice as big as them
@azzaMCrazza i tottaly agree, i have a pigeons chest but i suck at benchpress (in power). a single exercise isnt a good strength indicator. i see few people do shoulder press standing, i see ''them'' do it sitting down and only about a 90 degree range of motion (from fully extended arms to half way down in my opinion) . doesnt this shorten youre muscles?
@MrCribbss Compounding is the way to go - so definitely standing Military Presses. And even though a full ROM is better I believe, doing shorter or even static contraction stuff with heavy-ass weights is still good to incorporate from time to time so long as you stretch really good afterwards - as it strengthens ur central nervous system (y sum asian chic at olympics weighing under 52kg could clean and jerk 117.5kg i think it was?) by being able to fire more signals to her muscles
@azzaMCrazza And also, i recommend incorporating Tabata into ur workouts with a split too (press ups on chest/ underhand rows on back/ bodyweight squats on legs/ plank wit abs etc...) and power too, as people freak out when they see me at the Auckland Uni gym. In one day i did 140kg decline press sets of 5 no spot full ROM, 90kg incline dumbell presses 6-10reps, pull-ups into dips (BW power exercise) and press ups for Tabata - basically a 4min set of 10-15reps each 20sec set =P MWAHAHAHAHA
@azzaMCrazza hahaha, i have a long way to go, im 1,98 meters 95 kg, im now still increasing on mass with very little power increase. i had a back injury and didnt train for 3 months, i still dont know where the injury came from but it think it was bad posture. now im really going for quality instead of quantity. i have to take it easy at the start. with full ROM i find it harder to control the bounce you get at the end of a movement.
Haha no man, I am a professional strongman. So they see me throwing my Atlas stones around and pulling semis all the time...they don't even take a second look when I start playing with heavy wts in the gym.
ah - well most people who do that excersise with 400 pound cheat like hell lol u're one of the only i saw that does it with decent (not perfect but still) form.
thanks man. I pulled 725 raw at my last meet back in Aug. That was coming back from several months off after surgery. In training now I have done 785 with belt only.

To my understanding the weight should start and finish on the floor. Still impressive, but not 100% correct.

that's a pendlay row, not a bent over barbell row
