  • wait a minute... he announced it on Apple Keynote? Holy sh*t... We love you Microsoft!!!

  • It's 2011! Where is it?!

  • microsoft rocks!! apple sucks!!

  • WHAT THE HELL IS THIS? Bing is from Microsoft! Apple acts like they created it! Microsoft announced this before already!

  • @murdoch201 Did you listen to the video? Microsoft's Bing Team was contacted by Apple to do this.

  • @rivengle Oh, now i see... Well, that says enough... Apple their products sucks that much that they need Microsoft's help?

  • Dam!!! I want it now.

  • gosh please give us this!!

  • Audio quality of the video is very good, but unfortunatley it isn't syncronized.

  • Google is better imo

  • @heydude8999 No one asked for it ;D.

  • I hate Apple but this is pretty cool that they were able to demo this in their keynote.

  • @djguapo Reason?

  • That is awesome!

  • @jceiras I totally agree with you, in this demo there is nothing new and there is nothing which can't be done without html5 (i can do with the same ease as well)... disappointing stuff my dear microsoft!

  • it is just me or the video is really not in sync?

  • when are they bringing this to like IE9?

  • nice video...but maybe after 10 years you will be a step behind UBUNTU AND CHROME...open source is not the future...is the present and the future...

  • @Andy0n7 What does open source have to do with Bing, a search engine that "technically" is open. Open to use, open API. Plus MS is already ahead of UBUNTU AND CHROME.

  • WTF? MICROSOFT IS USING MAC??

  • I like the Bing photos and now ESPECIALLY this. The critics are whining about it being a distraction. From what? Your frantic day in which milliseconds matter so much that you have time for a 1 minute comment post on Youtube? I like Bing because it gives my frantic day a breath of fresh air.. a reminder that peaceful places in the world exist and it's not ALL about living a more productive digital life.

  • excuse me what is the adress of this page?

  • Nice!

  • Great.. so Microsoft is telling us to all go buy iPhones since WP7 does not support HTML5, not does it allow the user to change the default browser. Nice one Microsoft. Great innovation.

  • Dear Microsoft: RELEASE THIS! Google Instant is about to eat your lunch when they launch the service worldwide in a few weeks. You are going to have to counter them with something that will wow us. This has much potential. Make it happen, and soon, or I fear Bing will never gain market share.

  • I've switched to Bing from Google, loving it. Google is fucking evil, not just that but there not even the best anymore..

  • @GarebearShields Google is the least evil of them all... MSFT and Apple are the ones that sell expensive software and hardware and try to restrict us ... You got it wrong.. (By the way, you are posting on Youtube which is FREE and is part of Google. And are probably doing it on a not free OS made by MSFT or APPLE)...

  • @FreeBrainSurfs

Apple is the one protecting us, and they are completely honest about it. Google spys on us like crazy, and let's tons of spyware and virus's into their shitty app store. Btw Youtube is run on free software.

  • @GarebearShields The important info google gets is protected and encrypted from everyone, even them. The ADS they serve are dedicated.Searches is done blindly to everyone. Many of the privacy issues in the media are repeated by people who dont understand how it works.Apple always tries to tie you and make you pay .Android is much moe open and will also be the winner, soon.I like the way GOOGLE does it and is better and cheaper.Google could be 100times bigger if they wanted but they keep it free

  • @FreeBrainSurfs

LOL, Android will not be the biggest. The Android phone market is so pathetic it's a joke. Most of the phones being released right now are 1.6, you can't upgrade them, they are full of shitty software that the phone maker is installing, some only have private stores, 20% of the apps are spyware/viruses, you have to install anti-virus protection, some have to deal with flash, and the apps suck.

  • @GarebearShields Check the news and watch it happen...

  • @FreeBrainSurfs

If it does happen, it's going to take A LONG time, Google will probably have shut it down by then. Theres over 250k iOS activations a day, yup, gonna take awhile.

  • @FreeBrainSurfs Yes, Android itself is free but everything else like Google Apps, software development, and patent licensing costs (which go to Microsoft) make Andriod a lot more expensive than WP7 (which will cost only $15 per device). Just because Google isn't selling hardware doesn't mean they are any better than the others. They just make their money differently. You may not see an ads in Android but once you go use Google Search you will definantly see some paid results.

  • @wixostrix I understand but I like the Google philosophy ... I do think MS software OS and software is too pricey and not accessible too the poor class!...I don't like how Apple ties you with companies & their software... Choice should be ours and I don't mind the convenient accessibility of a dedicated and not very unobtrusive ad when I am receiving the best free services!

  • Microsoft is *always* behind the next wave, that's why they are showing Bing on safari. They are waiting for Firefox to implement HTML5 so they can copy the code.

  • @sgfox You're wrong in fact. This was at WWDC and was a follow up to Bing on iOS4.

Calm down for 5 minutes, stop sucking down the Kool- Aid and you might realise that this is not a huge conspiracy theory.

    Typical Fan Boy.

  • That's fast and look very great

  • lol he is sayin pc and using mac

  • @stablizershock isn't a mac a personal computer? ;P

  • This guy is retarded.

Transitions and animations aren't HTML5. They are CSS3!

Why does Microsoft always fail? What an idiot.

  • @bubbah can html5 do transitions and animations? just asking because i really don't know :X

  • @AudioCorps Nope. That's CSS3.

  • @bubbah HTML5 is very often considered to be a collection of next gen web technology including CSS3. Right or wrong, HTML5 is a shortcut for HTML5 + CSS3 + SVG + WebWorkers + WebStorage + all the other goodies in the reference section of the HTML5 spec.

  • @capecodsurfer HTML5 is a MARKUP LANGUAGE.

  • @bubbah I know, you're right, but I think you missed my point.

  • @capecodsurfer No I didn't. HTML5 is a markup language, not some idiotic buzzword that anyone can throw around like they wish.

  • instant search results, just like Google

  • @raisinlove did you check the date? June19th, 2010. now how could Microsoft make bing just like google 3 months before google even got instant search? oh I know, because they did all this good stuff 3 months before google ever thought about it.

  • @electromagneticjolt I don't care which came first, I never debated that. I was pointing it that the concept is shared with the world's most popular search engine.

  • I have not seen a single feature of html5. Just buzzwordy use of the damn keyword, just because MSes and Apples marketing department like to hype it.

Transforms and animations are CSS3. Fetch data in the background has been done since 1995, and made more popular with XHR. They are clearly on crack, but whatever...

  • @jceiras I think HTML5 is just "code" for modern web technologies. They were more clear about it at the IE9 conference.

  • the clapping is pure comedy! are these monkeys trained (or prompted) to clap?! snooze

  • Hey Microsoft, why don't you show us the new HTML5 Bing on IE?

  • @sgfox it makes sense, or isn't them releasing IE 9 w/ html5?

  • @sgfox Because when this was demo'd, IE9 did not have the canvas/video tags implemented. This works, today, on the IE9 Beta.

  • @sgfox Microsoft made a video on this today. Just, go to their channel.

  • @sgfox They did at the "Beauty of the Web" event on September 15th, 2010.

  • @sgfox Check Bings channel and they have a demo. The reason this was on Safari is because IE8 didnt support HTML5 and this was before IE9.

  • @mackenziepricee No, you're wrong. They had to use a Mac w/ Safari because it's WWDC, an Apple conference. HTML5 is just an update to HTML and IE8 supports it.

  • @david2032blogs Are you serious? Internet Explorer 8 only partially supported HTML5 meaning that not all of this stuff would of been capable. And yes, this was WWDC and like I said this was a follow up to iOS4 with Bing on it.

  • @david2032blogs But IE8 does not support HTML5.....

  • @sgfox Because WWDC is a Mac conference so they had to use a Mac.

  • @sgfox They have, in their new HTML5 based web browser IE9, it works just as beautifuly they only wanted to notify Apple users that it will be cross platform with mobile devices aswell as Safari 5.

  • @sgfox 'Cause it will crash and a Blue Screen will appear =/

  • @neonoafs If you think Windows is that weak, why do you have a PC then? What's your problem?

  • @murdoch201 I have a PC, but I use Ubuntu #lol

  • @neonoafs And what's your problem with Windows?

  • @murdoch201 None =D

  • @neonoafs Well, why do you say those things then?

  • @sgfox It works on IE 9, since IE 9 supports HTML5

  • @sgfox 1. Bing is from Microsoft. 2. IE9 is running it and with customizations IE8 could run it too. 3. Apple is wannabe-Microsoft, they act like they created Bing.

  • @sgfox I beleve this was using a very early version of the IE9's HTML5 engine

  • "Image Transforms from HTML5"... huh? There's nothing called "image transforms" in HTML5. In fact, I don't believe I've ever heard anyone use the term "image transforms" for any web technology before this. Nice one :P

  • How did they manage to fuck up this presentetations audio and video sync so badly?

  • They can make their search page as fancy as they want, it absolutely will not make me use Bing. First, I want a minimal (read: fast) page to search from and second nothing Bing does to beautify their pages will matter when their results still suck. Work on providing at least remotely relevant search results and maybe you'll get some users.

  • Maybe Microsoft will update Bing's Image search with HTML 5.

  • Looks like a geek. Check. Annoying voice. Check. Works for Microsoft. Check.

  • I wish more sites would be like this, we are in 2010 after all!

  • Good job Bing. Now please release it soon.

  • Great presentation!

  • Cool!

  • Great video about HTML5, but, Google is still better at searching, lol

  • @DOLFOW What part of this video was HTML5? HTML5 doesn't do transforms or animations. That's CSS3! This Microsoft guy is a clueless moron. And these clueless morons are building a search engine! Epic fail.

  • @bubbah looks like your clueless to because this is a Apple guy

  • @wifiaero Who he is, is irrelevant. He presents a Microsoft product and spreads blatant lies about open standards.

  • How did I not see this video 3 months ago?

  • @0m3n1337 I know. How?

  • Wow..Kill Google..

  • Great Video!!!
