The remake is a fucking tragedy, a fucking sacrilege and an embarrassment. Why on earth would you ever want to remake a comedy? Just rent the original. That scene in the original where Peter Sellers goes off the parallel bars and down a fight of stairs is slapstick comedy at it's finest.
