  • If it wasn't being put to use somewhere else I'd say yes...

  • I'll trade you my Camelbak Viper for that. :)

  • Wish we had one at ground zero. All they gave us was coffee and Red Bull. Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful but there is nothing like cool water, especially when no one is deconing you before you eat chow.

  • It didnt take me long time to see the rifle near the Marine who reviews the Mule... I wouldnt laugh behind him....

  • @sylla2 good feedback. this is one of my older reviews and i tend to do more of this in the newer reviews. I show more of the fit in pictures on my website than on youtube video, but i will start putting some gear in the packs to give reference. thank you for the constructive criticism... and thank you for watching.

  • @shakyjake64 You are most welcome - And again: I may sound a bit harsh but I don't mean to offend you. Actually, your review of the M.U.L.E. is one of the better ones on YouTube. At least you are not sitting inside, down in your mothers basement, dressed up in cammo, talking about surviving the nuclear holocaust like most other reviewers (or should I say unboxers) of tactical gear :-)

I'm going to order the bag now - And review it myself :-)

I'll keep an eye on your channel :-)

    Peace out :-)

  • thats not a camelbak mule!

  • @PoliticalGangster

There is a civilian style of MULE and a military version of the MULE. They don't look alike. I may be confused, but this said MULE on the receipt, the paper tag on it said MULE, and it has a stitched on tag that says MULE. I have 2 that both say MULE on them.

  • @shakyjake64 oh o k ic you must have the military vers. haha i have the biking one, thanks for the info

  • @shakyjake64 You are right. This is the tactical M.U.L.E. designed for military usage.

  • @PoliticalGangster it is i got a coyote colored one its the mil spec version it's built alot sturdier than the civilian model but size is the same the bladder is also alot thicker material on the mil spec model its black not blue

  • I bought it a few days ago.(acu pattern)

very comfortable and practical. thanks for nice review.

  • 'rah devil

  • Great review man thanks !!!!

  • To the best of my knowledge...I have 2 ...one I bought while in the military at a military PX.

  • is this the military version?

  • I have since gotten a better HD video camera, and a mac, which has good video editing software...so the close ups and quality are only getting better. Thank you for the comment and keep looking at improvements in the vids!!!

  • I have tried to get a little better with the camera work, and gotten improved equipment... but with a backpack it's just hard to get a close up and still see the product as a whole....hence the extra stuff in the frame. Also, I was recording this with a digital snap and shoot still camera, so no forward facing viewfinder...so I wanted to leave enough space so I could move around and still be in frame.

  • Nice review thanks. Great website as well!

One recommendation would be to fill the camera frame with the product and this way you don't see so much floorboard, chair, some wall, rifle (cool camo job btw :D ) and you get the close up view.

  • Yes, you can fit an MRE in the bottom pocket. It's a snug fit, but not much extra strain on the zipper.

  • would you be able to fit one MRE in the bottom pack?

  • I got mine free because the military paid for it and let my dad keep it when he retired so I got it. Mine's in ACU though, great little pack.

  • nice AR

  • i have same exact one im acually drinking from one right now i also have a camo version of this too

  • Well, would depend. Are you planning on carrying gear in the pack or primarily on a vest? If in the pack what would you put in it? As far as MOLLE attachments I'd keep it to small and fairly thin pouches.

  • Would you recommend this pack for a Load-Bearing System? I am putting together one, and this pack would pretty much cover my hydration. Also, what do you recommend to put onto one? Thanks.

  • Not the same as a HAWG, and yes, the hydration pouches can be removed.

  • This bad is not the same thing as the CamelBak HAWG MG? Right?

I am planning on getting the CamelBak HAWG MG, I am not really going to use it as an hydration backbag but more for just carrying equipment with my like my 13' laptop, camcorder and digital camera. Can the hydration pack be taken out of the bag?

  • You can take the pack out, but buying a Camelbak just to use as a backpack is pretty pointless as you are paying alot of extra money for a feature you will never use.

  • is that a G Shock watch. i have one

  • Thanks for the review anyway! :)

  • Actually, It IS a Camelbak M.U.L.E. I have 2 of them. I also have a Camelbak Ambush that I will be creating a video and written review for soon. They look similar, but the MULE has more load carrying capacity. Ambush doesn't have a full upper pocket like the MULE.

  • That's a Camelbak Ambush... in their military product line (not MULE...)

  • Thanks man!

  • Great review!

I picked one of these up on ebay earlier today, i can't wait.
