lol the graphics are good for this game like u can see zombie intestines fall to the ground. dont get me started on all of the custom maps they are what keep the game going and not to mention they have a game mode that changes every week. i would give this a 9.5/10.
i got a question about this game.. i just bought it for the pc and havent gotten to play it yet since there are soo many updates.. and the back of the box doesnt really explain the features that we.. i was just wondering if u have to be online in order to play this game.. cuz that would suck since i dont have internet at home and have to steal my friends.. and 2 can u co-op this game via lan line..
@pinballcentral thats messed up ps3 wii and 360 pc rock their great they all have unique games wich makes them good i miss the old days where it would't matter if u had a nintendo or a sega because they were both great fanboys these days grow up
@AcidFalco if you played versus more you would realize that boomer is the most useful infected, because he blinds everyone allowing the other infected to get their hit in. I think you need to realize that left 4 dead 2 isent the same as left 4 dead 1. While the gameplay is the same for the most part, theres alot of differences that split the 2 games apart. Setting, characters, and details all change the whole "Tone/mood" of left 4 dead. The DLC thats coming out looks like a mix between the 2.
@BullpwhoTV I don't agree, regardless of setting it is supposed to be horror survival, not action, comedy. the Left 4 Dead 2 characters are very flat and I can't stand Ellis's pathetic bird call. That right there is enough to turn me off those survivors.
I just picked up l4d2 for my pc because i have a ps3 and not a 360. It installed and everything but when i loaded up the first campaign level it took 6 mins. and 55 seconds to load COMPLETELY. It is really really slow and once it finally loaded the graphics werent very good and when i moved, the graphix and animations just creeped along. If any way possible HOW do i make it go the speed its supposed to? is it my graphics card? does my pc have to many viruse? im not sure but i need HELP! PM me
For me i think the source engine is what makes valve games stand out. You dont need good graphics for a good game. Its cartoonie but serious ( Team Fortress 2). This is just my opinion but I will say good review 5 stars
I didn't say that L4D2 is an ugly looking game, but, if you compare it to other games from 09 (MW2, Killzone 2, Uncharted 2 blah blah blah) a game with a 6 year old engine does start to show its age. Im sure that the new engine valve is going to use for HL2 episode 3 is going to be awesome.
I hope valve dont change the engine , but update the source engine where there is camera shaking and running makes your screen shake.The moders makes the game for it more beutiful than the original

It is a great game but i must say i definately prefered the first game -
-The charecters are more annoying and less cliche
-The level design isnt brilliant
-melee weapons render the boomer practically useless
-hunters suck now because you cant hunt in packs
+the graphics on L4D2 are amazing with everything on high and film grain off
- Left 4 Dead 2 has worse better levels
-i hate the lack of horror in left 4 dead 2
