Ah the memories...summer of 2005. Played through Leaf Green in a week after buying it. I hated Gary's guts since the beginning (I'm used to calling him Gary. Ahh, I remember this. I beat Gary the first time round with my level 76 Blastoise, all my other pokemon were around level 30. I ran out of moves at Lance and used struggle the entire battle, had to sacrifice the others to use revive, and max potion. It was worth it.

@freakachu100 Bulbasaur is good if you want to rape the first two gyms, you have fun abusing Sleep Powder and Leech Seed, and/or you're okay with using up TMs to get any powerful attacks. Charmander is good if you want a strong attacker with powerful level-up moves (Flamethrower at level 34!) and are okay with a challenge early on. Squirtle has balanced stats, is good at the first gym, and gets a powerful STAB without using up a TM thanks to HM Surf. (frickin' one-use TMs, ugh...)

Blegh.... D/P's music sounded boring, and over half of the tracks from it sound like something from a campy dance club...

R/S/E's was tropical(my favorite), R/B/Y/FR/LG's, though dated, is still original and epic, G/S/C/HG/SS's are great, but not as good as Gen 1, and B/W's is almost the best, losing out to R/S/E.

But D/P/Pt is just boring and the tunes don't stick in my head like R/B/Y/G/S/C/R/S/E/FR/LG/HG/SS/­B/W's music.

@jjnnerazor It's not just Pokemon D/P/Pt... In general, I find most games on the Nintendo DS to have awful music... Though Pokemon B/W and Kirby Mass Attack were okay when it came to music, almost every DS game just had terrible soundtracks... Things are looking up with the 3DS though, as soundfronts have become a thing of the past, and now many 3DS games have music that sounds as something you'd hear on the GameCube/Wii. :)
