YES! The Grim Reaper is awesome! Just played this game in hard and I must say that was one of the hardest Castlevania games I've ever played! If you are one of the old school Castlevania fans, this game is a must.

I got Game Over on this stage. I wish there was as save or at least a password function so I could stop playing and come back later where I left off, instead of having to start the entire game from the beginning again. In the end, it's just like old school Castlevania, so it's not worth the $10. It should have been priced at $8, as that's what Super Castlevania IV is. $10 isn't worth an hour and a half of gameplay for a remake.

Yeah, the thought being you are getting more than 1 and half hour of gaming out of it, if you are having to go back and replay it since you can't beat it yet. I dont get why you say "its just like the classic casltevanias" as if its a bad thing and should be less money.

I didn't say it's a bad thing, it's a good game. But it should be $8 not $10, since that's what Super Castlevania 4 is.

@WanderLink Yeah true, but Casltevania IV came out in the early 90s, where as this game is new technically so they want to put a bit more £ on it to make something from it because they can. Sucks, but how it works!

At the title screen when you can select start or option, hold right. You cand do a stage select for any stage you complete. When you complete a stage, just pause the game and go back to the title screen and then hold right, you can save the game like this too.

About the password function that is soo true. I just got a gameover on the stage and damn i'm frustrated i've been playing for atleast an hour and a half and all that time is gone. :(

Obviously haven't played it myself yet, but it looks easier than previous Death incarnations. This one has a lot more style though.

If they wanted to make it truly old school brutal, there'd be little heat-seeking scythes appearing throughout the entire fight.

Fuckin brutal....You should have edited these video's or something so we didn't have to see you replay the same part like 2 or 3 times.

After the first death I skipped to the part where you finally beat him...Death is pretty crazy as usual but he's much easier here compared to some of the early CV games...1, 3 and Dracula X / Rondo of Blood are his hardest incarnations.

Well... In Japan there are a few numbers that are considered "of bad luck" (like 13 for many people around here, you know) and one of them is number 4. It is pronounced Shi... Which means Death.

The other unlucky number would be 9, which means Pain, Suffering or Torture. Many japanese horror stories take place in September... The 9th month of the year.
