Yeah, this particular version of Senor Soul IS War, but it wasn't always that way. Initially, Senor Soul was Charles Miller's own separate group. When Miller became a full-time member of the Night Shift (the band that became War) and hooked up with Eric Burdon's people, the new group actually recorded a few singles under the "Senor Soul" moniker. Miller essentially supervised these last few recording sessions.
This song has the late, great Charles Miller of WAR fame, on it. Charles is the lead voice on WAR's iconic song LOWRIDER. I could be mistaken, but it sounds like Lee Oskar on harp. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Peace.
