Already seeing this as a Lou Reed album, one which Lou fans will love, but one Metallica fans will hate, the difference being that Lou Reed fans love Lou Reed but Metallica fans seem to hate Metallica for doing anything thats not the early thrash sound, plus all they listen to is metal, so very little musical diversity in their music collection, really hope James doesnt sing on the album, keep it more of Lou album

I do hate metallica but not because they arent thrash. I hate them for becoming what they bitched about the most, poser sell outs. I will say however that I am looking forward to the disc with Lou Reed. The version of Sweet Jane they did with Lou was excellent,

@theblahman The people saying thta are in the typical metal head group. Lou reed was a master of his genre. I remember being a kid in the late seventies early eighties, Im talking like 6 or 7 years old, and my Dad playing the album with Sweet Jane on it. I loved that tune even back then, and I think this album will be cool. I am glad that they came up with a different name for it, instead of using Metallica or Lou reed. Music fans will give it more of a chance that way I think, no expectations.

some of this "noises" as you call them have a name: "Soundscapes" and are very progressive sounds, creating atmospheres, and sensations more than creating a rithm .. i think metallica is doing is best for fit in this kind of experiment... you can't expect anything worse than St Anger...or can you? give them a try.. i'm glad metallica is always looking for different shit to do..even though makes mistakes.. you can do over and over again the same record..

@djcheester The music of the songs from Lulu will be killer songs, i mean, im sure they'll have both nice & thrashy parts, mixed w/ some other heavy stuff for the most of the songs. Then, maybe for such personal songs like this one, all this kind of "feeling" sounds Lou Reed suggested in this video, may be transformed by metallica in something maybe closer to the "Fixxxer" or "Outlaw Torn" instrumentals for the album. Those were the most touching songs from James' most personal lyrical albums.
