Not to toot my own horn, but I was doing this shortly after I aquired my first video camera in 1987. I realize Hofstetdler published GEB 7 or 8 years prior, but I never read the part about the video until... a couple of years ago.
I pat myself on the back for imaging all kinds of wacky stuff while making myself dizzy with the closed circuit video.
Remember the term "closed circuit television" in school?

If you twist the camera just so, you can stabilize the spinning and obtain rhythmically pulsating, coalescing and splitting globules of light.
You can become very nauseous if you stare at it too much while attempting to gain insight concerning the meaning of life and the universe.....
