@Answersinbooks Why do you go after this guy so much. It's been about 2 to 3 years since I talked to you about this. I ALSO PROVED TO YOU WITH THE EVIDENCE OF HIS CLAIMS..... ARE YOU THAT MUCH OF A LOSER THAT YOU HAVEN'T GOTTEN PAST THIS GUY.... MUST BE GETTING PAID OR AN HIDDEN AGENDA!!!
@greg12145 LOL. CAPS LOCK MAKES MY PARANOIA VALID.
"It's been about 2 to 3 years since I talked to you about this." Well that is not true clearly. I have been on youtube about 2 years and this video was not one of my first. In fact at the top of the page it states the video has been up for about a year.
"I ALSO PROVED TO YOU WITH THE EVIDENCE OF HIS CLAIMS" No I provided the evidence of his claims. You failed to provide evidence (and this is the important part) supporting his claims.
@greg12145 The fact he made the claims is not in dispute. "FOR SOME REASON YOU HAVE A HARD-ON FOR THIS GUY" Please keep your fantasies to yourself. You are welcome to them but I want no part of your mental imagery thanks. "YOU KNOW THE EVIDENCE IS ON THE NET" So is the evidence for the 'fake moon landings' or the '911 was an inside job' conspiracy groups. Scientific support firmly rests with my position here. That is until you manage to show credible evidence disproving what I said.
@greg12145 "NOT EVERY ANSWER IS IN BOOKS.... SOMETIMES THEY'RE ONLY PUBLISHED IN PERIODICALS/MAGAZINES AND ETC" well done on failing to understand where my name comes from. I will have to come up with a name for the fallacy of a straw-man based on my name.
"ARE YOU THAT MUCH OF A LOSER THAT YOU HAVEN'T GOTTEN PAST THIS GUY" Apparently you haven't. I was simply responding to a fallacious comment on one of my videos.
"MUST BE GETTING PAID OR AN HIDDEN AGENDA!!!" As I said, paranoid.

This guys videos are a case example of the problem on this Youtube venue. People do a tiny bit of research from overview sites which are not fully comprehensive, current, and don't show the intangibles, then deem themselves authorities on their issues/problems. If this guy spent as much time researching as he did assembling this compilation he would have discovered all the evidence is available through the internet to back up Dr. Len Horowitz's material.
Actually the problem is you, you have every right to any point of view you wish but slandering someone you dont agree with is cowardly and wrong. Next Im sure you'll try voteboting this channel, your just the worst kind of scum. Winning about free speech while arguing for some one else to shut up. We have a word for people like you 'troll'. The only one slandering someone is the maker of this video. Please look up the term Slander. Nothing I've said has been slanderous, but clearly has shown HOW WRONG THE MAKER OF THIESE VIDEOS IS!!!
Im not saying the video isnt one sided, but the subject put himself in a public forum and one of the prices of that is ridicule. But while this video mocks the subject, it does not deture from the user expressing his point of veiw. That isnt slander, just like a review of .. well anything isnt libel. Critical views are to be treated as such. However, curseing at those who dont agree with you and making an ass out of yourself, that is much closer to slander. Next time google the deffs beforehand
Japans National Institute for Materials Science, Takayoshi Sasaki and colleagues created the superconductor from layers of cobalt oxide separated by Na+ ions and H2O. The new superconductor is unusual in containing H2O, which has the effect of doubling the interlayer distance to 2 nm. This appears to be essential to triggering the superconducting behavior. The crystal structure of the oxyhydrate has some similarities to the hexagonal structure displayed by superconducting MgB2.
Actually they are doing testing with Superconductors/Water/Sound/Light for your information!!! Seek and ye shall find. You do not support your arguments with a Single Current Professional who might enlighten you beyond AnswereinBooks - Someone who might connect some dots for you. Pretty sure Dr. Horowitz has some links/connections to those in the current science and medical community that AnswersinBooks does not profess..
Wow but may I ask what question you asked him to answer? Or where you copied his answer from? The context is key to understanding why such irrelevant data was given as a response.

Water itself contains 1*10-7 mol/Liter positivly charged H+ and the same amount of negativly charged HO- (ph 7) leading to a conductivity of aprocimatly 0,055 µSiemens/cm (18,2 MOhm )for pure Water at 25 °C (compared with rainwater 35 - 100 µSiemens/cm dependent on Air Polution, River (Rhein Germany ) 300 - 745 µSiemens/cm ,Sea 42 000µSiemens/cm. The high conductivity of salty water are the Salt-ions but water has in any case an amount of ions
I wonder what question this is meant to answer. All you have said in it is water can conduct electricity. Pure water quite poorly.
Superconductors do not conduct like this. Water will have a resistance to the flow of current, like all traditional conductors. A superconductor does not.
There is a distinction between a conductor and a superconductor that you seem to be ignorant of.
Take these videos off... you look like the ignorant one(s). Not everything is published on the internet as well. I suggest you seek PROFESSIONALS in the said areas before make rebuttals from a source like "AnswersinBooks".
Type in "Superconductors, light and sound"... read all the various research. The maker of this video is an IDIOT. Do your own research. Light and sound is being used in research regarding Superconductors! He references "Science for Dummies" for the latest in research. The maker of these videos should be ashamed of himself, for his lack of research, and inability to comprehend and cross-correlate data!!! He wants to be a MICHAEL MOORE of science... he's the DING-A-LING of it!!!
If you type in "Superconductors, light and sound" into google you get nothing at all. I will try an academic search engine later but I doubt anything will come up.
I made no reference to, nor have I even read 'Science for dummies'. Perhaps you should invest in a copy however.

i want to know what Dr Len Horowitz has a PHD in. seriously it can't be medicine if he is anti-vaccination. i only have a high school diploma to my name and yet i am willing to bet i know more about how the immune system works then "dr" Len does.
That is ignorant. However, I will admit that if all you know about Horowitz is based on this video you probably feel safe and smart attacking him. Dr. Len is a D.M.D., M.A., M.P.H., D.N.M & D.M.M.. Hopefully you don't have to rely on answersinbooks to explain those to you. Your statements about vaccines reflect profound ignorance of the published facts regarding, for example, the presence of multiple monkey viruses known to contaminate the polio vaccine. Ω
that is a problem with the manufacturer that produced that vaccine it doesn't undermined the validity of vaccines. you see the immune system works by(and this is a simplification for you) recognizing viruses. when it recognizes a virus known to be harmful it attacks the virus and destroys it. but white blood cells don't work if the have no prior knowledge of the virus so you are exposed to a dead or weakened virus. the body remembers the virus and you are protected from it in the future
In 1972, Bernice Eddy (scientist involved in creating polio vaccines) stated before congress "IF YOU ALLOW THIS VACCINE TO GO OUT, YOU WILL HAVE EPIDEMICS OF CANCER UNLIKE THE WORLD HAS EVER SEEN".
For goodness sake, it was only a few months ago that BAXTER international (vaccine producer) was caught distributing vaccines with LIVE AVIAN FLU!! That is CORRECT, LIVE AVIAN FLU to 18 countries!! They claimed it was an "accident". Use your mind. Ω
sources please. and i have had all my vaccines and yet im alive, my mom had all of hers and she is alive, basically everyone in my town has had all their vaccines and yet for some strange reason not every one has cancer or some other mythological conspiracy illness related to vaccines. im guess you're just another nutter. also you didn't say dick about how the immune system works. could you at least please stay on topic when making an ass out of yourself.

To the best of my admittedly limited knowledge, nothing has been given the official designation of THE bullet train. In popular usage it may have transferred to maglevs. I still only generally see it refer to the shinkansen, but that could just be a measure of what little I read on the matter.
In any case, still a great debunking. The first I've seen of an anti-vaccinator, who I consider far greater threats than most of the other loonies like creationists (though there is overlap).
That is true (wiki is my friend here). However most westerners, such as myself are quite ham fisted when it comes to dealing with Japanese names. From what I have read the maglev is used in part of the over all shinkansen system. Which is apparently roughly translated as the new trunk line. Basically a high speed line that runs all manor of high speed trains. I have yet to read where the use of the name bullet train is used but I have always understood it to be the maglev. Thanks 4 the support.

My response to people asking for your qualifications would be -
Answersinbooks - Arguments from facts, using facts to support facts and condemn misinformation and lies.
Really, this fancy thing you have and are using right now is called the internet, it is an amazing tool for the furthering of knowledge and education. With things like wikipedia, or even any search engine; there is really no excuse to remain ignorant or not be able to check the facts of someone you call an expert.
what field does Dr. Horowitz have his doctorate in? because if its any field of science and medicine he should get his doctorate removed and his license(if its medicine) burned in front of all his "followers". Ignorance of science and medicine is by far my biggest pet peeve.
Doctor of Dentistry, Masters Degree in Public Health Administration. Even Christian website operators distrust him. He has no qualifications for commenting on viruses or anything else science related. He is, however, qualified to talk about bicuspids and molars.
wow.. my very close doctor friend dont even consider dentistry a real medical profession. nobody ever takes them serious... its more like "clean my teeth mother fucker, so i dont have to." lol
That's the problem. Dentistry *is* very important for two reasons. For one. you need a working and healthy set of choppers to be able to chew your food. You don't have a crop or gizzard, after all. Secondly, bacterial septicemia from bad teeth is a major avenue for heart damage (the bacteria in the teeth get into the bloodstream and cause scarring on the circulatory system, including the heart valves). But, it does *not* make one a virologist or physicist. Dr. Ignorant speaks gibberish.
On youtube I do seem to be so far. I am trying to get other users to start taking him on as well. He deserves a lot more skeptical attention than he gets right now.
I checked out his videos. What a fear-mongering bastard.
And keep trying. I'd love to see this guy nailed by others and I don't have a level of education where I could do so myself because otherwise I would.
Anyway, water weakly absorbs red light. Water also has a nonzero single scattering albedo. Water is not an optical superconductor; to put it back in electrical terms, water:light::copper:electricity.
Acoustically speaking, water is a poor conductor of sound - especially mid-human-range and above. liquids, in general, are essentially incompressible, and as a result, only the lower pitched sounds - those with enough energy to physically shift the water's volume - transmit well
Is water a liquid crystal? Well, a liquid crystal is any substance that flows while retaining molecular order (silly putty does this, actually). One can make a case that water is inherently polar, and would theoretically end up arranged like a stack of brackets - but that is not what we see; the electrical attraction between water molecules represents a potential energy lower than thermal kinetics at room temperature.
Very pure water is a poor electrical conductor this is true. However the mechanism of conduction and super conduction are (to my understanding) rather different. It would have been fun to put in as a little side note but possibly not that relevant. Feel free to let Horowitz know this fact however :)
Maglev systems do not require superconductors, bullet trains been worked on since 1980s, not till recently have EMS units started using nitrogen cooled systems.
Also, Dr. Len was right for the wrong reasons, about water being a superconductor, Oxygen is a superconductor.
was trying to say politely to check your facts...idiots
JRMaglev uses superconductors, yes;High temp superconductors cooled with nitrogen, came later. Thought JRMaglev was the magnetic rail system specifications for use in japan, not the company or research groups working on the propulsion systems in the trains.
I've drawn the wrong conclusion from this video, seemed without superconductors,no maglev systems.Just like I thought he said you can't make water into a superconductor.
Sorry AIB, its late, and hit the wrong person to reply under.
Seen it more as carbon is a conductor and resistor depending on formation, over the needing to breath water.(a little electrolysis could fix that issue,if ya knew what side of the terminal to breathe from)
Yes the elements that make up water have different properties to those of water. The point is he is not on about doing any of this he is on about molecular water.
NO where did I give any useful information. I'm just tired of people thinking that Youtube threaded discussions is a good place to find info. That is what Google Scholar is for!
It was late, an my train of thought was derailed on what he was stating. I was reading in my own conclusions, from seeing the images, and a maglev system. superconductivity has increased the speed. Was my poor-ass stupid-late judgement, eh
My mother believes quacks like this. My mother takes my autistic brother to a doctor I tersely call Dr. Duck (quack), who gives her a small dropper bottle filled with distilled water that has been "electrically charged". Is there anything I can say to her about this? Every time I bring it up on the phone she just starts yelling at me...
I have a girlfriend who is like that. She will believe just about everything, except the voice of reason (me). If Peter Popoff came to our city, I'm pretty sure she would have gone to see him. I am in a state of facepalmium perpetuum.
Inspired by DPRJones series on Peter Popoff, my wife wrote to him for her miracle spring water and now recieves a letter every one to two weeks with some token piece of crap (a coctail stick that is supposed to be the rod of aron, a strip of tinsel gold on one side and silver on the other that is a 'gold and silver bracelet', a piece of gause in a water soluble tablet, some green goo, a paper slipper, a card board cross... and many more...
All with increasingly threatening demands for money.
I had to do a double-take to make sure I clicked the right video, lol. Great stuff though.
You should do one on homeopathy and herbal medicine. I think it would be grand.
"People say herbal medicine has been around for thousands of years. Indeed it has, but then we tested it all and the stuff that worked became "Medicine" and the rest of it is just a nice boul of soup and some potpourri" - Dara O'Briain

Answersinbooks 1 year ago

The high conductivity of salty water are the Salt-ions but water has in any case an amount of ions
greg12145 2 years ago
I wonder what question this is meant to answer. All you have said in it is water can conduct electricity. Pure water quite poorly.
Superconductors do not conduct like this. Water will have a resistance to the flow of current, like all traditional conductors. A superconductor does not.
There is a distinction between a conductor and a superconductor that you seem to be ignorant of.

i want to know what Dr Len Horowitz has a PHD in. seriously it can't be medicine if he is anti-vaccination. i only have a high school diploma to my name and yet i am willing to bet i know more about how the immune system works then "dr" Len does.
thisis3d 2 years ago
That is ignorant. However, I will admit that if all you know about Horowitz is based on this video you probably feel safe and smart attacking him. Dr. Len is a D.M.D., M.A., M.P.H., D.N.M & D.M.M.. Hopefully you don't have to rely on answersinbooks to explain those to you. Your statements about vaccines reflect profound ignorance of the published facts regarding, for example, the presence of multiple monkey viruses known to contaminate the polio vaccine. Ω
DarkLightDance 2 years ago
that is a problem with the manufacturer that produced that vaccine it doesn't undermined the validity of vaccines. you see the immune system works by(and this is a simplification for you) recognizing viruses. when it recognizes a virus known to be harmful it attacks the virus and destroys it. but white blood cells don't work if the have no prior knowledge of the virus so you are exposed to a dead or weakened virus. the body remembers the virus and you are protected from it in the future
thisis3d 2 years ago
♥ Thanks for the lesson. Here's a better one.

Minor detail: The original bullet trains (shinkansen) are not maglev, though there are plans to have a maglev line running by 2025.
Maxdwolf 2 years ago
True however I think since the mid 80s the bullet train has run on superconductors.
Answersinbooks 2 years ago
To the best of my admittedly limited knowledge, nothing has been given the official designation of THE bullet train. In popular usage it may have transferred to maglevs. I still only generally see it refer to the shinkansen, but that could just be a measure of what little I read on the matter.
In any case, still a great debunking. The first I've seen of an anti-vaccinator, who I consider far greater threats than most of the other loonies like creationists (though there is overlap).
Maxdwolf 2 years ago
That is true (wiki is my friend here). However most westerners, such as myself are quite ham fisted when it comes to dealing with Japanese names. From what I have read the maglev is used in part of the over all shinkansen system. Which is apparently roughly translated as the new trunk line. Basically a high speed line that runs all manor of high speed trains. I have yet to read where the use of the name bullet train is used but I have always understood it to be the maglev. Thanks 4 the support.

Ryoka242 2 years ago
That's the problem. Dentistry *is* very important for two reasons. For one. you need a working and healthy set of choppers to be able to chew your food. You don't have a crop or gizzard, after all. Secondly, bacterial septicemia from bad teeth is a major avenue for heart damage (the bacteria in the teeth get into the bloodstream and cause scarring on the circulatory system, including the heart valves). But, it does *not* make one a virologist or physicist. Dr. Ignorant speaks gibberish.

Gripen1974 2 years ago
While water is not a superconductor in electrical terms, we can cross apply Len's cliams to acoustics and optics.
Fordi 2 years ago
Fucking iPhone.
Anyway, water weakly absorbs red light. Water also has a nonzero single scattering albedo. Water is not an optical superconductor; to put it back in electrical terms, water:light::copper:electricity.
Acoustically speaking, water is a poor conductor of sound - especially mid-human-range and above. liquids, in general, are essentially incompressible, and as a result, only the lower pitched sounds - those with enough energy to physically shift the water's volume - transmit well
Fordi 2 years ago 3
So, water is also not a superconductor of sound.
Fordi 2 years ago 2
Mind you, you can get water down to a temperature where its polarity does cause ordering - it's called "freezing".
Actually, the only way to get water to behave as a liquid crystal it to get it supercritical - but that's another discussion altogether.
Fordi 2 years ago 2
Isn't pure water non-conductive or something?
I'm surprised you didn't mention that.
nashertheatheist 2 years ago 2
Very pure water is a poor electrical conductor this is true. However the mechanism of conduction and super conduction are (to my understanding) rather different. It would have been fun to put in as a little side note but possibly not that relevant. Feel free to let Horowitz know this fact however :)

Maglev systems do not require superconductors, bullet trains been worked on since 1980s, not till recently have EMS units started using nitrogen cooled systems.
Also, Dr. Len was right for the wrong reasons, about water being a superconductor, Oxygen is a superconductor.
was trying to say politely to check your facts...idiots

No where in the video did I state that superconductors were always used on mag lev systems.
Water and oxygen have different properties. Try breathing water and you will find this out.
Answersinbooks 2 years ago
JRMaglev uses superconductors, yes;High temp superconductors cooled with nitrogen, came later. Thought JRMaglev was the magnetic rail system specifications for use in japan, not the company or research groups working on the propulsion systems in the trains.
I've drawn the wrong conclusion from this video, seemed without superconductors,no maglev systems.Just like I thought he said you can't make water into a superconductor.

Sorry AIB, its late, and hit the wrong person to reply under.
