I was born in 93 and I saw a couple eps when i was a kid and i loved MASH then i went off the air so i recently started watching it again. But this vid is awesome and yeah i think there bond could be seen this way so good job.
I did read it. Regardless of the creators intent this video means something else to most of the viewers-and maybe that's what you should consider. 99 percent of the people who see this video are moved by it and to me, at the end of the day, that's more powerful than anything else intended.
This series of 11 seasons is like sedation and are very addictive I have been watching them on daily basis & especially when I feeling a lill low or am over joyed. Its a great stress buster. Thank you Hawkeye, BJ, Radar, Hot Lips, Burns, ShermBlake, Klinger & all those unsung heroes involved with the making of this successful series.
I was born in 1963 and I can tell you many of my generation loved MASH. In Australia it started when I was about 13 years old. I have always lived my life though the principles of the show. I adored Hawkeye and am still looking for him. Warm, compassionate, human, honest, ego centric.....what a great character....if only I could find him in real life!
ExplorerDS5789, you are so wrong!! If you looked at all the episodes that I think ran for 12 years (I'm not sure), you would see that all the characters contributed to making life livable in such a bad situation. Hawkeye was not a piece of shit! His humor got them through situations that I couldn't even imagine having to do - fixing soldiers up and sending them back to war. Before you make such comments, why don't you rent a few years of M*A*S*H & see how wonderful the character Hawkeye was!
And PLEASE!!! You can't say, that hawkeye is that you said explorerDS5789!! You're at yourself a piece of shit!!!! Both were a grat team!! And everyone for it's own is a special brilliant character!!
I was born '74 and The serie broght me through hard nights after work. And I found a really nice soul as friend because we shared the joy and emotion to watch it! Thank you for this memory-video!!
Hawkeye was a less grounded character than BJ. Nevertheless, he did his job to preserve life in the face of death, to find sanity where there was never meant to be any. To do so, he counldn't act in a mature way. Jokes and women preserved him.
I agree with everyone here, for some reason anyone born from 1992 or near that are in love with M*A*S*H, but my brothers, who are the Baby Boomers, don't like it at all. Strange phenomena.
i was born in 94 i watched it a bit and didn't think much of it but now i always enjoy watching the show gives you a view of how it used to be and i will never forget mash good as show
I orderd online to, but everything is ok, exept on the last sesion my 2nd disk is a older one. the front says season 9 disk 2, but you pop it in and its really like season 5 or sumthin. I had watched each one as I got it, but I recently found a disk with episodes I had never seen, and I can' figure out how I missed it.
Being born in 1976, this show was the staple t.v. watching of our household. The best blend of comedy, tragedy, drama & suspense. This is the only show to regularily cause ROF laughter and tears in the same 30 minute spot. Best t.v. show ever produced bar none.
May I thread jack for a moment and wonder how old all you MASH fans are? As for myself, I am a hardcore fan, having all the major actors', beginning to end, autographs as well as all 11 seasons, but I was born in 1984. That was a year after the season finale. I was just wondering if any are as young as I or younger...
I'm so happy to see such young fans of this wonderful show. I, myself, was born in 1970, so I've seen the series, in originals, from start to finish. Granted, I was very little in the beginning -- but I watched with my parents. I was 13 (I'm now 37) when I watched the finale ... and can remember it like it was yesterday.
@ladyway2003 I was born in 1985 and I LOVE this show. I own all the seasons except 3 because Henry dies and it is far too upsetting. This is by far my all time favourite TV series. PS. Love Jars; saw them live once.
@ladyway2003 I was born in 1991. I'm 19. I asked the father what did he want for his birthday, and he wanted his favourite TV show, MASH! I bought the complete series, and I'm watching it now! I'm in season 3 right now, and loving it! I don't have anything to watch this summer except The Good Guys and MASH!
@ladyway2003 Born in '86, myself. I don't have autographs/ M*A*S*H merch, but I've seen pretty much all of the episodes at some point. Great show- glad to see others in my age cohort recognize the awesomeness. :)

This song makes them look gay. I LOVE their friendship, and Jars of Clay is good ... but I'm pretty sure if you showed THEM this video, they'd be weirded out by what it implies- even if you didn't mean it that way.
Um ... seriously ... I did put in the description that this BJ/Hawkeye vid was *intended* to be slashy. I most certainly *did* mean it that way ... and I think if either actor saw it, they really wouldn't care much either way.
Hawkeye is just slashable period!I like this video alot.Good work!I bet the actors would just burst out laughing at this video if they saw it though!I mean really if you can't laugh at yourself then you have no sense of humor.
@tvjunkie1013 As much as I respect and value diversity of human race i dislike what you did. One of best movies about friendship you want to change into sth else.... Its overinterpretation and I find it disgusting. I don't thnik ppl like Alan Alda would like to be shown in such angle. Its disrespect for them and for me.
You obviously have never been in a war. My dad was-you develop close relationships with other men, they become your family and your link back home and you come to love them. The relationship between the characters of hawkeye and Bj are realistic-you find that one person who keeps you sane-they keep you from going mad. So, yes, it is two men loving one another. Knowing the actors outlook on life/the characters they wouldn't see anything wrong with this at all.
@joedimaggiosgirl Obviously YOU didn't read the reply that the owner of the video gave to me, which validated my perception. No, I've not been in a war, but that doesn't mean that I can't appreciate male bonding.
It is a great video. I find that the relationship that Hawkeye has with B.J., and others on the show. Always making jokes about anyhting they talk about. Even worse times.
Yep awesome song. Am a Christian myself and love Jars of Clay. I am going to eventually do a Mash tribute video to the tune of Michael W Smith's "Friends"
