  • gives me chills every time

  • Sounds like FDR's Fireside Chats.

  • Vote John Henry Eden for president this 2012 election! Long live the Enclave! Long live AMERICA!

  • Why can't our own leaders be as devoted as President John Henry Eden. Real or not, I say we elect him President for the 2012 elections. No party views, no fighting, just one vision in sight. Making our beautiful nation great again. One Enclave l, one America.

  • 0:29 = Epic. The one thing about Fallout 3 I hate is the inability to truly be part of the Enclave. Eden's speeches really make one feel attached to him.

  • Stupid communist wannabes. It's called the Berlin Wall. There's a reason commies had to put a wall up, guarded by barbed wire and machine guns, to keep their people IN. Go look up how many died just trying to escape.

  • In Socialism, men make men suffer. In Capitalism, the reverse is true.

  • @DudasDrakaan

that... men ALSO make men suffer?

    the fuck

  • @LuunnaGaia It means that people suffer regardless of what government, or what form of government, is present; ie: the reverse of "men make men suffer" is "men make men suffer."

  • @DudasDrakaan

so then instead of trying to fix what is wrong with government we should all cut it out of our lives completely, go outside, hold hands and sing kumbaya and everything will be ok

    of course

  • in capitalism or rather corporatism poor men suffer, rich men live heaven on earth well those working to build america get treated like shit, sure say that it failed because of stalin, but look at the facts, anyone can use an ideology to gain power, now america is ruled by a plutonomy in which the rich ARE the government,Goldman Sachs basically owns the US treasury during the Bush administration, does the word bailout ring a bell?haha, the top 1% of america has more wealth than the bottom 95% combined

  • @Lubotsulat

    1. Karl Marx invented the idea of Communism which was later influenced by leaders such as Lenin to our idea of Socialism. Stalin is impressive only for killing 50 million people, that's it.

    2. Who has done more bailouts Obama, or every other president combined (including Bush).

    3. My comment was stating that both systems are equally corrupt.

    4. There has been a top 1% long before America, as a nation, ever existed, and it shall always be so.

    Cheers

  • He must be the main character in the next Fallout :(

  • Only annoying thing about Jon Henry Eden is that he refers to America as a Democracy, rather than a Republic. ;|

  • @Fgsfds1995 don't want to start an argument but Socialism is like being mugged by a criminal is a $5000 suit.

  • @EchoSaviour Wow, that comment made absolutely no sense at all.

America is a Republic because we have a constitution. It may not look it, since all our freedom has been taken from us, but we ARE a Republic.

So it makes these clips annoying, just like when Obama or someone refers to America as a Democracy. :p

  • @Fgsfds1995 I wasn't sure what republic meant totally I thought that. We are a republic but WANT to be a democracy but I agree with you whole heartedly you seem to know more xD

  • @EchoSaviour

    socialism =/= capitalism

  • malcom mcdowell should be a president. or a senator or a gouvernor =D he has a charismatic voice. and i have been thinking like this for 10 years now =D

  • I am the Enclave? W00t!

  • The Enclave is me. Therefore I killed myself....Dang.lol

  • kudos to the people who actually wrote these speeches, they're extremely original and sound very genuine with the help of the voice actor

  • @mrgor24 its based on stuff that has been said before, i think roosevelt did these pep talks over the radio, and some of these quotes are taken virbatim from other people. I know Abe Lincoln's quote is "if america is destroyed it will be from within" im sure the rest of it is plaijurized as well, i think thats the irony behind it. Eden can quote all the best stuff in history and nobody will know the difference. No spellcheck :(, i no spell good.

  • @OperaTunaTeaCaesar I'm a bit of a history buff and I recognized a few lines. His entire speaking style is straight FDR fireside chats. There's a bit of McCarthy red-baiting. I couldn't help but liken his "Democracy now, democracy forever" line in the game to George Wallace's "Segregation now, segregation forever" but maybe I'm reading too much into the southern accent. As a Mississippian I'm happy to know the President is from Kentucky and not some godawful yankee state :P

  • @mrgor24 yup
