The cops do play a sick game with us mentals. They think its fun to watch us go off and let us go over and over. I was completely in a psychotic break in 2005, blacked out and driving. No drugs or alcohol at all, I ran over several lights and things on a sidewalk downtown, they let me go and within an hour I had totalled the van and was unresponsive in an intersection. It wasn't until then they took me to a hospital for help.

I have been so close to being her so many times. Similar childhood, not hooking but hitching all over America for 3 years at 17-21, back in 1980-1984. One man that tried to rape me, I left laying there. I still don't care if I killed him or not. I have borderline personality disorder. Just found out Ailene did too. I watched her final words...sounded right from my head sometimes. It's damned hell to live with, you wake up some days almost like a trance of rage and obsession.

This song wasn't inspired by the movie. It was inspired by the same story the movie was based on, though. I first heard this song back in 1996 and it has been one of my very favorite Jewel songs since. It has a dark, moody feel and it's very beautiful at the same time. Her voice is flawless in this song.
