we never see anything go in or out of the Portal, assuming that the Pure chimera was on the other side, WHAT are they? what do they do? what is their history? what was the deal with the war between the Chimera and the other alien race that wiped them out? also note that broken planet, it reminded me of what Daedalus said along the lines of "your world will shake and tremble" at the end of this game, people thought the Earth itself had been teleported.

@TJBSports1 Spoiler! From what I know - the beginning of Resistance 3 - Earth was somewhat displaced through a wormhole, and a portal opened over NYC. Those planets or moons in the end of R2 are *probably* the Chimera's homeworld or homeworld's moons.

What ruined the end of this game for me was that right after he shot Nathan and the game ends, it shows your game stats and then the credits, it would have been better to have the credits start right after he shot him and then show you your stats

@PetardoSpeed8500 Chimeran homeworld. Just not all of it. Since they destroyed the fleet, it prevented the whole planet from being transported near Earth. So it'll explain some of the big chunks of rock near the actual planet. So in resistance 3, expect to see Earth terraformed.
