  • This same model is used in only one wing of our HS. The others are a different SpectrAlert set to the steady siren. And I'm not sure what model it is

  • specter alert advance is good but not as good as the specter alert classic

  • I love the specter alert classic it gives me a feeling of keeping it on all the times

  • how loud is this alarm and the simplex truealert at 10 feet away?

  • I Love Fire Drill!!!!!

  • @rockingx20 i get a classroom with a spectralert advance

  • I have a SpectrAlert P2475 Combo 75cd 24v Horn Strobe and a Wheelock MT-12-LS-VFR Horn/Strobe in 15cd

  • @sirgaga5040 I burnt out the whole mt tho lol (experimenting)

  • Comment removed

  • I actually see these at many Dunkin' Donuts shops!

  • whoops, I made a mistake, only my elementary and junior high had these. My high had spectralert advance in code 3.

  • i saw these at the buffalo wild wings in hagerstown MD

  • Is this made by Simplex or Wheelock?

  • @Worcester2007 System Sensor.

  • this is the notification appliance.

THAT HAUNTS MY LIFE WHEREVER I GO.

  • I remember when I was having a continental breakfast at a hotel, this alarm went off, and it was soo f00king loud I had to cover my ears until the alarm was silenced.

  • Thats the alarm at my school

  • Simplex 4903-9219

  • how many tones do these fire alarms have? most places i found them going off it was just code 3, is that the only type of tone they are equipped with?

  • We have this fire alarm at my Elementary School, Junior High, and High. I always think the teacher is blowing a whistle when I hear it, not that bad though. My Junior High, though, is when they had those full blast.

  • @bnsfloverfanatic143 LOL me too, it sounds like a whistle

  • this alarm is at my school and it's loud as hell. it doesn't hurt my ears though

  • Does system sensor own spectroalert?

  • @hyperbaricchicken101 Yes, the Spectralerts and Spectralert Advances are a product line of System Sensor which is owned by Pittway Corporation which is owned by Honeywell Life Safety which is a division of Honeywell Corporation.

  • @int3ll3r0n that was my old account but that's alot of company chain links.

  • Thats the same one that is used in the Fire Control Room that I'm working at.. I see this everyday at work mounted on the console panel. The sound it makes is very very loud during a fire alarm..

  • Cool

  • CAN I ASK YOU SMOTHING CAN YOU DO A TRUE ALERT AND A TEE BAR AVINCE IN ONE OF YOUR VIDEOS

  • it sounds like the 1 at my old school

  • This was introduced in 1997, and replaced by P2R, aka Spectralert Advance, in 2007.

  • aww dude i got thoes things in my school they ar so annoing

  • At the beginning, it moved a little bit. Anyway, I love all spectralerts. You should make one for the advance.

  • That looks and sounds like the one at my school

  • At school today, they were uninstalling these alarms (and the old pull stations) because they were being replaced. One of the Security Guys told the other something like, "We need to uninstall the old horn/strobes." THEY ARE CALLED SPEAKER/STROBES!

  • What would you trade for one of these or a MT?

  • Now I know these were most of the alarms that one of my schools used!

  • I wana pull the pulley lol.

  • I want one !! Lol. My mom ordered me a alarm 4 my door

  • that the fire alarms they use in my school

  • Man those are loud prw don't set those in cintonuis

  • We USED to have one of these at my college, but last year they replaced it with a U-MMT!

  • this video is the best example of the flash of the strobe that I've seen.

    Thanks for posting.

Our school uses these as their fire alarm system.

for whatever reason, they have the horn/siren sound full blast in every one of the rooms.

Makes me jump every time. The ones in the hall are quite sufficient for the sound.

  • The goodwill in Saint Joseph, Missouri, has a single one of these. These are also the Notification Appliances for the fire alarm system at the Days Inn, in Aimes, Iowa.

  • My school just got these installed in all of the classrooms. Yes, my school is from the 60s and just now got dedicated fire alarms. How epic fail is that? Haha.

  • Its not an epic fail. The new ADA rules of 1990 are really uneccasary.

  • Do realize, my school used an outdated and old intercom system for years and years.

Finally, during my Junior and Senior years, my school has undergone a modernization project including new computers, intercoms, networks, and of course, safety systems. Lol.

  • @ArmoredPersonel48698 my school has had a cool intercom system for years, but just now they got a PA system.

  • They really aren't unneccesary.

  • Well I think the way they say you need transparent strobes is BS, translucent strobes can be 15, 30, and even 75 CD!

  • With a higher current consumption... and the light from the clear lens distributes itself better. That is at a fixed distance. For example my 4906-9101 multi-candela truealert strobe only pulls 60mA at 15cd. My 4904-9001 pulls 45mA to produce 4.75cd... and that's not even a white strobe.

  • @soccerdude7330 do you know how close that is to lebanon tennesee?

  • Yep. About 50 miles. I have actually visited Lebanon a few times before and recorded (and had the honor to set off) a siren once. Check my videos for "Denver Siren" to see it.

  • @soccerdude7330 in that case you were actually close to Cracker Barrel headquarters...they don't franchise any of their stores and they are all company owned and their headquarters are somewhere in Lebanon

  • i hate these alarms in school they make me jump once they go off and its always right when im about to fall asleep in class too

  • This is exactly what my school uses!

  • hey how do you upload the viedos in hd

  • HD camera and the software that comes with it

  • Cool! Got any MT's? My new school has them that do continuous, unless the High School sets ours off with their code-3, with a connected system of two 4020 Panels with One for each school.

  • i like these, my friend gave me a bunch of new ones left over from a job :P

  • wow even rockin' the official fire alarm wire. i like it.

  • can i ask do you live in the tennesee area?

  • Dickson TN. 30mi West of Nashville

  • hows olds this alarm

  • @soccerdude7330 that thing is quiet on low volume
