  • Go ask any combat veteran if we are safer by invading countries thousand of miles away. We'll laugh in your face.

If you bleeding heart liberals want to solve all the problems in the world then go join some charity group and stop paying taxes. After all, it's the US government that has been giving weapons and foriegn aid to dictators around the world. The crooks in Washington created the Taliban and then want to get our soldiers and marines killed fighting the monster they made. BUllshit!

  • People think this is like WWII or Vietnam and nothing could be further from the truth. There aren't whole battalions of Taliban sneaking around. Its a hundred guys at most usually.

We win the firefights and the casualties are smaller than in any other war we have fought in. But I'm against it because I saw what we did in Iraq first hand, and I think its a massive waste of our taxpayer money and our guys' lives.

It's all bullshit, some haji 4,000 miles away is no threat to America. Get real.

  • I think people are confused. The Taliban or Haqqani, or whoever, aren't winning. They aren't kicking us out of any cities. We send in the infantry and clean them out. Look at it like this: do cops ever win the war against crime and drugs? Nope. And they never will. Same thing is going on in Afghanistan.

So what we have here is a perpetual occupation. Corporations can come in and exploit the resources and sell the military weapons, and the American tax payer foots the bill.

  • i say cut afghanistan completly off, strangle them...no-one gets in but NATO troops, and supplies. polititions keep saying they can't givean answer as to how to defeat al-qaeda....if you completly block off afghanistan from food and everything else you could possibly block them from getting, afghanistan would slowly die...

i kno its cruel, but its an option..and its war, everyone knows war aint pretty

  • @pac4life93 . Shit general!!! What the fuck you are doing at home then. Go to Afghanistan and start strangling them. Somebody have to show how to do it. Why not you. Talk is cheap for the keyboard warrior.

  • @mojodevirus

it aint about bein the keyboard warrior, its an easy strategy that people have used A-hole.

so try and find another way to make an ass out of your self.

  • @pac4life93 Pardon me general, your so call "easy strategy" sucks big time. It's so so sucks that only you can think of it. Look at the map and open your eyes general, it Afghanistan not Hollywood Boulevard. But I'm open to your suggestions. With you infinite wisdom please tell us how to cut Afghanistan completely?

  • fuck war , its the illuminatti who has caused this

  • Well there isn't more oil in that shale (Canada) than in the middle east but there is a lot ,actually second largest after the Saudi's.

  • Keep the women in Burkas, stone the adulturers, lets create another safe haven with terror training camps...so lets leave afghanistan

  • The only reason we are there is opium. The reason we were in vietnam was dope and we took enough to last 40 years. it was just time to re-up. Got to keep the public high and stupid. False flag operations to start both wars. Iraq was for oil. Think about it a pipeline in Afghanistan would never even work ,it would be blown up so that is a conspericy, but the dope, thats real, and damn near everyone is hooked in one form or another.

  • the hidden cost of 300,000 dollars for the death of a soldier, is not a cost at all. It's a profit, after the government gives the family about 100,000 dollars. The insurance company then gives the remaining 600,000 dollars of the 1,000,000 dollar policy to the Government, and their is no tax paid. Rich people have been hiding their money thru insurance scams for a long time they don't pay tax and it's also a way of passing wealth down to your family so the government can't tax their inheritance

  • Can't wait to go to war... the ultimate test of manhood.

  • What about BUILDING 7!

    _

  • Comment removed

  • @TheVideodemand building 7 is a building that was across from the twin towers. It magicaly imploded with no real damage done to it. look up world trade center insurance scam to shed more light, but remeber you are only scratching the surface

  • building number 7'

  • @ un4g1v3n1 and your proof is ??????????

  • Sunil is so full of crap, you can see the feces dripping out of his nose!

  • I just LOVE when politicians and experts start wars, cut countries into the peaces and create new countries the way they find adequate

They prolong great colonial tradition that didn't give flying f***k about human lives or right of the Indigenous population to create their own destiny the way they see fit

My preyer's are directed to hope that you will be rotting in hell USA and all others who are like you !

  • lol every country is hungry for afghanistan, so sad,

and if all the other countries spend that amount of money put to fight in afghanistan to their countries, it will benefit their country and for india, plz look at ur country frist, u have many poor hungry people, plz try to help them rather making highways, afghanz wouldnt use that and y would they want to use it, i dont get it, if the highway was from kabul to mazar then it would have been a great help but HAHAHHA.

  • And right you are.

The questions remain though: Can you win this war, was it win-able in the first place, and what were the goals to start the war-enterprise in the first place.

So I would want to go one bit further, and use his point of view and experience as one of the many tools you can find to form your opinion regarding the questions asked in the first place, and that makes his judgment not an absolute truth, but neither incomplete or false.

  • I wonder who USA will invade next and what total lie will be used to do just that? Iran is looking pretty tasty to USA

  • My car's engine runs on red herrings.

  • This is a piece of propaganda rubbis...Real News??..hardly.

  • All about the opium, baby.

  • u suk

  • ..explain...

  • Why do we keep interfering in other countries' business? Especially now, when we barely have enough money to sustain the U.S.-not to mention all of the problems we're facing inside our own borders...Obama is following the same old policies of all of the previous administrations...CHANGE?! What change? End the "Federal Reserve", end the military occupations in Iraq and Afghanistan, and end corporate welfare. End illegal immigration, NAFTA, and the "war on drugs". THAT"S the 'change' we need!

  • economyincrisis . org

  • OBAMA IS ALREADY SURROUNDED BY JEWS The fact is Obama is a good and honest leader but sadly he is already SURROUNDED BY ZIONIST JEWS advisers. Those dogs use President Obama as a PUPPET and he has no power to GET RID OF THEM. JEWS ARE CANCER CELLS in the World that need to be eliminated soon. Hitler was right because he used to call JEWS TROUBLE MAKERS

  • Honest discussion about Iraq and Afghanistan war is so rare in this country. Thank you.

  • Drugs

  • russia had a colossal disaster in afghanistan b4 so now we think we can do it? Afghanistan is a very tough country no one ever beat them , we wont beat them

  • @wedapeepole Alexander the Great did... and before he was 31 years old! Of course, the US refusing to fight to win in anything that we do any more so, yeah, we'll probably end up getting beat there.

  • @PaulUmbarger Alexander The Great was a worrior king that did not defeat them, but insted won them over thru a marriage to the daughter of a war lord.

Roxana was Alexanders wife and also bore him a son how was said to have been killed by one of his general not long after Alexanders death.

  • I think it's a game.If they really wanted to destroy talibans they would have done it in 1 or 2 years but the game is about money, oil and military industrial complex which feeds the richest monopolists in this world and also western troops can't live in the caves and under the earth with piece of bread and water and afghans can.

  • @wedapeepole, well I guess that what they get having great disaster day it have become for the future. Don't think Afghanistan will able win, Everyone have weak points in the army and strong point as well. Plans could be in faults progress for everyone. Its learning the spot what would be the terrains will be ur friend if you know how use them wisely. Yet, soldiers will not be standing of the aging process.

  • @wedapeepole the solution is to simply make the country mostly flat, level these mountains and fill in the valleys with the mountain rubble, then the taliban will be out in the open and the US can mow them down with their tanks.

  • Given that China is essentially the workshop of the west, it would make sense to relinquish the region to China, and they can also take care of the security issues. Not unreasonable, since much of the region used to be a part of China.

  • What about letting afghans be in charge of Afghanistan? Just STOP selling them weapons, STOP buying there drugs, START helping the civilians, like using the same amount of money NATO is using for military right now for civilian issues.

  • There is no such thing as an Afghan and/or Afghanistan beyond the western classification of a tribal region and its peoples. Bit like Palestine and/or Palestinians. Even so, the Afghans have no interest in Afghanistan as a state, as the west understand it, and they are not being supplied weapons by the west. In addition, we are helping the civilians, but they regard those helping them as occupiers who must be resisted, as per France24.

  • charlessmyth

u r fucked in the head, there is no afgha? stupid afghan is a RACE, not a name like palistinian or pakistani etc, learn history before u talk.

  • My point was that it would be best left to the Chinese.

  • No. That's entirely wrong.

  • o.k tell me the right history then, cause i am afghan an very good at history. and wat makes u think if alexander, mongols, british, usa, cant control afghanistan then chinese would?

  • The Mongols, like the others cited, discovered that ASfghanistan had nothing of value to warrant the effort. China has the Asian/oriental mentality to take over Afghanistan without concern for western Human Rights, and has an interest to limit terrorism in China via Afghanistan, which is why China supplies weapons for Afghans to kill each other, as a diversion from killing Chinese. So Afghans might want to step back and think long & hard about the blowback of thwarting western concerns.

  • Afghanistan is of strategic importance to both Russia and China, therefore, in the neo-con mindset, to the US too. As for China, I doubt that they would be interested in acquiring another unruly province; they have problems enough enough inside their own borders which would only worsen if they ventured into Afghanistan. I think the Afghans are sick and tired of imperious designs in their country with the 'divide and conquer' implications that come with it.

  • For the neo-con agenda to make sense, the US would have to accede to a fully fledged empire, in the colonial tradition of the former European Empires, especially the British Empire, in consort with the EU as an imperial entity, so as to circumvent a resurgence of national militarism, with its associated, and undesirable complications, within the EU. China has plenty to contend with, internally, to be sure, but the nature of the state is to expand, and Afghanistan is not a country.

  • The US is a fully-fledged empire, they have simply seen the folly of enforcing it using large military contingents as this is doomed to fail, economically and strategically. The weapons of choice are the IMF and the world bank, along with diplomatic coercion, insurrection, bribary and the threat of military destruction. You assertion of the state being inherently expansive is jaundiced and oxymoronic. The Randish philosophy is the precurser to facism, which is what we now have, against our will.

  • This has failed, since playing it smart, the US has instigated a line of economics which has wrecked its own economy, and the technology which has replaced boots on the ground, has led to hopelessly protracted campaigns with the US' taxpayers-cum-citizens held to ransom by client regimes. The US now has economic fascism and a tendency towards authoritarian fascism because US voters persist in voting for it.

  • Voted for it? Seriously, are you maintaining that Republican and Democratic candidates provide true choice vis-a-vis Wall Street and the pirates behind the Federal Reserve? If so then you know more than the rest of us.

  • Republicans and Democrats ran a sufficient range of candidates for voters to choose from, so they only have themselves to blame for the consequences of not doing so.

  • It's called a shell game. I cannot believe that anyone could be so naive as to fall for this sleight of hand farce anymore.

  • are u serious in saying Afghanistan should be given to china. u honestly believe this will help

  • It would certainly be helpful to us, which is the most important point.

  • and when was afghan under china?

    HA HA HA HA!

  • well, this is some information, thank you, thank you very much
