@rishma45 Yes it did considering how we Indians think that politicians are our leaders and forget that they are actually there to serve us keeping in mind the best iinterests of the state and its people!They are basically our servants not our leaders!
But in India despite our massive poverty and illiteracy we still have universal sufferage :0 So its more of an experiment because most poor sell their votes for money,liqor and meals and they are the people who actually vote in India!

@rishma45 NZ is not racist its middle earth after all say what ;) Great place and I hear the real estate is wonderful there isn't it?Besides most kiwis say they are New zealander and not european or maori or Indian! That is social cohesion! Most places in NZ are given Maori names(do correct me if i am wrong) isn't it? The blog

@rishma45 I think the biggest news maker from oceania happens to be that of the Indian students in Australia! Actually the governments of India and Australia have very coordial and warm relations ,I don't want it to go sour! We need friends and all that Uranium and rare earths besides coal ;) I heard jessica lal(contestant in miss India world from NZ) was booed in NZ by Indians because she was not indian looking! That sucks for we claim to believe in unity in diversity and all!

i see. well this made a big story in nz because i think we like to believe that nzers are not very racist and that we are multicultural. but then again i reckon that is one of the problems we assume things without any real evidence. its cool that you believe in unity and diversity but i know that many indians are very conservative and dislike nz culture even the ones who have lived here for 20years. so i think the dislike goes both ways not only to minorities in nz.

@rishma45 That may be so but the fact is most Indians do not emigrate say to NZ or any other country for that country's culture or the lifestyle or sunny climate as we have all of those and much more in abundance here!What we do not have is a lower population density,a relatively clean government,better civil/human rights,an abundance of jobs,a reasonably high or atleast average per capita income etc.These are the reasons Indians leave home! I sometimes wish we were homogenous like japan!

@rishma45 Indians don't actually hate people because of the race they belong to! Remember the conquests,colonization and other crap we have gone through as a nation is largely because we love everyone alike, and treat outsiders as our guests.Remember there is an Indian saying "adithi devo bhava"(Guests are on par with gods).Our people also lack the political astuteness of say the Japanese or Thai Kings and we are pretty naive which is why we(India/Indians) get exploited!

@rishma45 For most Indians leaving india is not a choice they made for lifestyle changes but a neccesity for a better life for their future generations.Most don't want to leave India you now.They just don't have a choice!We are quiet an emotional people I would personally prefer if we were a dispassionate and funny people but thats not how we are!Indians due to our history are quiet weary of foreigners no hate involved.We should not forget our roots but should integrate wherever we go.

@rishma45 This is not what necessarily happens,the opposite happens most of the times.I wish we could become a modern people but that does not necessarily mean being western.Japanese,Hongkongers,Taiwanese are examples of cultures/people who are very modern in all aspects but are not as western as even Indians for example! I hope you get my drift! i have lots to say only it normally reaches people's heads....Indians are not racist! you should know....people are racist the race does'nt matter!!!

i'm not suggesting they change their lifestyle i just think they should not criticize. i think its important to understand that indians are no better or worse than anyone else. you seemed very open minded initially but then you made a horrible comment about islamic societies. you say people are racist the race doesn't matter then you call islamic societies racist, you shouldn't generalize like that, its stereotyping and just not nice.

@rishma45 I know I was exploring the reasons behind why Indians are the way they are! Not supporting tehm or anything lol! About Islamuc societies trut me on this one I have studied in Bahrain(try wiki) for about 10+years right from kindergarden to high school when my dad was working there as an engineer in a government position.They first underemployed him and then promoted him to an enigneer(which he is by qualification and had worked as an engineer previously in India) ....

@rishma45 ...(contd)whites with an AA(associates degree in engineering) have been plant director,senior engineer and many other things because Arabs think it is cool to have whites working for them or some crap like that.They think all non-white/arab people are lesser humans and hence do not promote them beyond the position of say an engineer at max a senior engineer.Now lets come to citizenship,let me ask you how long it takes to get NZ naturalisation? for an engineer?two years in ausfor ex....

@rishma45 The USA ctizenship takes 5 min years to apply after green card,France it takes nearly 6-7 years depending on many factors and so on,but in Islamic societies they will NEVER offer you citizenship despite you contributing to their world considering Indians run everything there right from Building workers to Engineers like my dad all are Indians and trust me they work their arse out! Its funny how Islamic people are offered citizenship in all afore mention countries(incl India.....

@rishma45 ....(contd)(ask all Iranian,afghani refugees who throng our cities here in India) but despite this Islamic people want to islamise other countryies while keeping their countries free of outsiders and other cultures!Evn countries where outsiders are allowed citizenship(Bahrain 21 years,Qatar 25 years) it is given at the descreetion of authorities thats is only to muslims,check some UN memos on this.I do not hate arabs or Islam but it is an intolerant and racist culture....
