i had a fullsize 88 chevy blazer that was mint and the original 350ci motor only put out around 180 - 200 hp and still it hauled ass. what it didnt have in hp, made up for in torque. the gearing and torque was the reason. the broncos have a little more in hp but for some reason, they were just about as fast as eachother. it may feel like 425 but if it was that much, you would have been smokin the tires at hard acceleration anywhere after 40mph. but still, theyre nice trucks.

my 381 hp Tundra does way more than that. Gettin intake exhaust and TRD s/c will cost about 6,700.00 not bad for 500+ HP and 0-60 times in the low 4 second range, I may not stop doing bolt-ons after till I can get it in 0-60 the 3.8 second range
it is very posible to get a tundra to do 0-60 in 4secs.. the new tundras have 400hp stock.. and 0-60 in like 5.5sec stock.. ur dumb... and i like how u have a 700hp bronco that only does 0-60 in 5.3 thats sad i have a 1981 f150 stepside wit dayna splicer 4:10rear axle and 9in front end... and i have 35"tires on it and i can run a 0-60 in around 4.5secs.. if u wanna know more bout the engine let me know

it's Dana (no Y). and SPICER (NO L) Dana and Spicer are the same manufacturer. the front end is the DANA-44, the REAR is the 9". Google it! all that receipts prove, is that you don't do the work yourself. flaming aside, I am curious about what engine/mods you used to get an 81 f150 to go 0-60 in 4.5 seconds, THAT is truly impressive.

Nice bronco....I live in orange county we throw tundra's in the bonfire because fiberglass makes interesting colors when it burns........So anyways motor sounds solid man I bet it's a fun toy!
But on another note my Honda S2000 daily driver (supercharged) would KILL my truck. It is built some and runs a 1/4 mile in 10.97 at 121.6 now that is a frekin fun car to drive!
My stock Tundra at 381 hp would eat that thing for lunch. Once I supercharge it goodnight. Besides, it is a piece of junk. Not to insult your truck, but man, even if it had 1000 hp it's still junk imo.

man if you put a 425hp in a bronco with a c4/c6 automatic and BIG tires you're going to see a lot of drivetrain loss, and loss due to big rotational weight from the wheels. That could easily put it at only 260-280rwhp, which looks about right for the exceleration it did at that speed. I believe it.
What makes you think you would loose that much power, When you run bigger tires you regear the axles to get the power and ratio back. At the most it if it were properly regeared youd loose maybe 40-50hp through the drivetrain
Ive seen people lost 30rwhp on a car for running 20" wheels over 17's. I dont think you realize how much 40" tires weigh. On top of that, putting it through (most likely) a C4 which does not have a locking converter, there IS a lot of drivetrain loss. An incredible amount, in fact.
Ive got a 1 ton jimmy on 38's with 4:88 gears with a mildly built 350 that had 246 rwhp before i lifted it. After I lifted, regeared, swaped axles and got the 38's it sits at about 202 rwhp. And i do know how much my 38's weighed they were 76 lbs a tire and 40's are not much more. And if hes smart hes most likely is running a c6 not a c4.
im going to agree and say that it duznt realy look like 425 horsepower buuuutt i dont know that for sure....and i do know u can easely get 425 horsepower out of a ford and its not out of its range RCFREEK.

The motor that went in my Bronco was out of a 78 Interceptor. Was rebuilt by Perrys Machine Shop in 2000. I installed it in my Bronco in 99 but the fella doing the tranny dropped a washer down the carb and still fired it up after (I know, don't ask)

But on another note my Honda S2000 daily driver (supercharged) would KILL my truck. It is built some and runs a 1/4 mile in 10.97 at 121.6 now that is a frekin fun car to drive!

My stock Tundra at 381 hp would eat that thing for lunch. Once I supercharge it goodnight. Besides, it is a piece of junk. Not to insult your truck, but man, even if it had 1000 hp it's still junk imo.

man if you put a 425hp in a bronco with a c4/c6 automatic and BIG tires you're going to see a lot of drivetrain loss, and loss due to big rotational weight from the wheels. That could easily put it at only 260-280rwhp, which looks about right for the exceleration it did at that speed. I believe it.

What makes you think you would loose that much power, When you run bigger tires you regear the axles to get the power and ratio back. At the most it if it were properly regeared youd loose maybe 40-50hp through the drivetrain

Ive seen people lost 30rwhp on a car for running 20" wheels over 17's. I dont think you realize how much 40" tires weigh. On top of that, putting it through (most likely) a C4 which does not have a locking converter, there IS a lot of drivetrain loss. An incredible amount, in fact.

Ive got a 1 ton jimmy on 38's with 4:88 gears with a mildly built 350 that had 246 rwhp before i lifted it. After I lifted, regeared, swaped axles and got the 38's it sits at about 202 rwhp. And i do know how much my 38's weighed they were 76 lbs a tire and 40's are not much more. And if hes smart hes most likely is running a c6 not a c4.

im going to agree and say that it duznt realy look like 425 horsepower buuuutt i dont know that for sure....and i do know u can easely get 425 horsepower out of a ford and its not out of its range RCFREEK.

Thanks brutha! I've cracked the frame twice now right beside the steering box, but, that's part of squezzing a bigblock into a Bronco!! Well an 80 and up, cause the frames on those ones are weaker then the pre 80's Bronco's

Learn how to read dude......No where does it say 450...... Motor was computer dyno'd at Perrys Machine Shop in Winnipeg. We're doing 120km/h when I pass him and he punches my truck. Never been in a truck that accelerates that quick at a buck twenty except the ole Bronc!!

really, last time i checked it says 425hp Ford Bronco. I put down 450 but it says 425 and that is my fault. 425hp is still way out of this trucks hp range. You dont need to exaggerate. Im glad the ol bronco seems fast to you bud its just you. Its a stock bronc with a set of pips.

The motor that went in my Bronco was out of a 78 Interceptor. Was rebuilt by Perrys Machine Shop in 2000. I installed it in my Bronco in 99 but the fella doing the tranny dropped a washer down the carb and still fired it up after (I know, don't ask)

I had a 89 with a Ford Lighting engine in the bitch... Very fast.. To fast for a Bronco..
But I got a 92 5.8liter 351 Pushing 35" with a 4" lift... What you pusing?
And had a 78.. Rolled it... It was a very sad day..
