The only thing I think The Wire has not fully covered is the culture of criminals - not those who are coerced into crime due to their circimstances, but those who commit crimes for the hell of it. Those who will end up criminals either way, but wish to take others down with them and make as much grief for others as possible in the process. I do not feel this was covered in The Wire fully.

dude that guy was Avon and Marlo, and a few minor chracters. The reason there wasnt more focus on these types of people is because they are the minority in the drug war. There just are not that many people who live off of violence. The smart ones like Stringer and Prop Joe did not want violence. Violence was a last resort as it is for most people. Avon and Marlo chose violence first which only a few do.

Ron Paul is a smart guy, but his position is the opposite extreme to Simon's here... Simon criticizes capitalism for making people matter less. Ron Paul wants to end socialized programs and let the market decide what matters.
