Pickerel like it close to shore, especially with tall grass in the water.

Use Daredevil spoons, and artificial worms.

The record pickerel for Ohio is 6 lbs 4 oz 26.25" , caught in Long Lake by Ronald P. Kotch.

That is all I know about Ohio's Pickerel.

nice fish but dude ive caught ones 25+ inches and over 4lbs and if u even try to lip that thing you can kiss your finger goodbye...just gill them or right behind the head

haha those thing have a million teeth you cant put your hand in its mouth if you pinch your fingers near the gills it works alot better. those thing are a pain in the ass in a net too.

keep those guys they eat the small bass ! theres tons in Wampus ! they love spinnerbaits use a 3 inch light metal leader or re tie after each catch ! those teeths!LOL
