this isnt art, its copying. took every value, colour, shape etc from an origional.

Why on earth didnt you just play with adjustments, it would give the exact same effect, take 6.9 hours less, and be a far more acceptable cop out.

This really takes no skill, just knowledge of photoshop.

@Ubermisho: i own a tablet, which i love, but i find it easier to use the mouse for this sort of thing than the tablet. it really depends on the person and which tools they are comfortable using for whatever task they are trying to complete. Theres no one right way to do something when it comes to photoshop, so get with the program. I personally think he did an awesome job and it does take skill knowing where to do shading, highlights, and mid tones just as it would with drawing or painting.

Would you please post a tutorial on how to use the pen tool? I can not get it to work right. I have been doing vector art for a little while but I have never had to use the pen tool. From what I understand it's supposed to be easier. I know it will allow me to make more detail in an image, but I can't make it do things like lashes and brows. this is really frustrating, because everyone on here makes it look so easy.

Can someone help me out?? I was using the vector tools in CS3 but when I zoom in on the picture its still blurry. I thought vector images are clear at any zoom level. is there some setting i can change to make the picture clear like a vector image should be?

good pic, but, this can easily be done in like 2 hours with microsoft paint and photoshop's or GIMP's smudging and airbrush tool. But art is what u put into it so if it take 7 hours then so be it.
