Can Bruce Dickinson hit the notes Halford could from 1982-1990 ? Nope. Listen to Dickinson live even in Maiden's prime from 1983-1986 and he sounds weak compared to Halford. Typically, Metallica, Maiden and Priest have been mentioned, but Manowar for me are better than the aforementioned bands. Eric Adams voice is, in my opinion, even better than Halfords.
Problem is people slag Manowar off even though they've never given the band a considerable crack at the whip, its saddening, really.
I thought the same for a while. I still like Manowar (got their whole discography on drive), but the dazzle wore off when I realized that they're Heavy Metal Boy Scouts.
I was never "dazzled" by Manowar, I genuinely think they are awesome and have done for a decade. Manowar have been in the music business for some 30 years now, and are legendary in the heavy metal world. Calling them "boy scouts" is an insult towards Manowar and their lengthy career, to be honest. Don't get me wrong, though. I still like Priest, but I perfer Manowar.

You can't compare Maiden with Priest as they made music in different times,around 10 year difference. Either way, both bands are my favorite of all time but i think Judas Priest paved the way for later bands.

I like Death Magnetic. sort off return to their roots. broken beat and scarred, unforgiven 3, all nightmare long, cyanide and judas kiss are amazing songs. if we talk about boring maiden are boring since the beginning. Metallica at least tried something different.
I like Maiden but I can kinda see it. Death Magnetic literally almost put me to sleep. It sounded like they wanted to do another Master of Puppets but failed ever so miserably. If they wanted to return to their roots it would sound more like like Kill Em All.

But Im not talking for their last albuns but since the first when they stole many riffs and poored over the good things Priest has estabilished. For example if you look to the first Priest recordings you will remember sometimes Sabbath or Zeppelin but they really improved over them I mean many times surpassed not just copying and playing. And in the other albuns shaping a new type of metal.

I like Death Magnetic. sort off return to their roots. broken beat and scarred, unforgiven 3, all nightmare long, cyanide and judas kiss are amazing songs. if we talk about boring maiden are boring since the beginning. Metallica at least tried something different.

I like Maiden but I can kinda see it. Death Magnetic literally almost put me to sleep. It sounded like they wanted to do another Master of Puppets but failed ever so miserably. If they wanted to return to their roots it would sound more like like Kill Em All.
