  • I had a learning disability,I was kicked out of comunity college,GED classes in my time. There was no help in my time.I finally got my GED in my 20s. For those of you who think I should be killed because of something that was not my fault excuse me for living. I have had the same job for 20 years.I make good money.I drive a Car.

  • This is great because I am currently attending college online majoring in elementary special education.

  • it takes only patient, loving, and thankful to be special education teachers.Least thats what i think.

  • This video nearly made me cry. Your doing great work, Miss Christine. Very inspirational! Anddd we have the same name :) Hahah

  • how big are their brains?

  • I am rejistering for college to become a Special Education Teacher secondary education. I am a senior in high school and am a T.A. for a classroom. I help out students that have down syndrome and or other disabillities. These kids are all ausume! :D

  • What a wonderful communicator you are. My sister has severe learning disabilities and cannot work but what she can do well is communicate with physically handicapped people in her 'peer' group. As a consequence, she is valued in translating messages between the ones that cannot speak with the, oh so transient members of staff. Indeed, it is a challenging positiion that you hold and I have to admire your strong determination to set up this programme and instil confidence in both carer and child.

  • Wow I love your video. It was very interesting!

  • We are all going to hell for laughing at this

  • There's one for children with intellectual disabilities as well

  • to those making ignorant comments about LD and special ed.I had LD and

there was no help in my time.Should I be killed? I am not retarded.I took the GED

and learned a lot and passed it. I work and Pay taxes.

    So excuse me for Living.

  • I'm thinking of teaching and I would like to do both English and Special ed. I'm interested in working with high school students. I took Introduction to Special ed for my education major and I thought it was interesting; I really learned a lot about disabilities and it helped open my eyes about what they go through

  • @fabifly I'm a high schoo spl educator myself. Spl ed plays a key role in helping students with various disabilities meet testing standards, and face various challenges in life as an adult. Its a very rewarding experience. Wish you the best!

  • @smellmyanusagain I see your account got closed.

  • 95% of the people in the world without a disability wouldn't last a day with a disability.

  • @Draco04 : True. These people are FORCED to though.

  • I wonder what the teacher mean about giving herself 5 years to work with these type students.

Will be that she will burn out by this time and have little room for creativity.

  • I always say you never know when a normal person such as yourself will end up disabled because of an accident so yes have some compassion and keep your negative comments to yourself.

  • @HERRER21 That's true. When I was 12 years old, I developed Bacterial Menungitus, and lost all memory from before age 12, I also got Torted Double vision due to mid dorsal brain syndrom. I am in college now, but it's stressful.

  • Me too! I want to take up Special education... Mahirap daw eh sabi nila...

  • hey! i'm taking up a special education course here in the Philippines. Uhm, i really love and would like to teach and take care children with special needs.

they really need the extra care and all...^_^

  • Very nice editorial. Thank you! Bless you for your hard work with the children.

  • i wonder what the hopes are for these children

The same hopes as a typical child Please... Educate yourself. and have some compation.

  • i wonder what the hopes are for these children? Will they be able to do things for their own lives, like maybe dress themselves, or take a bath on their own, or will they be able to ask for something they need, or let someone know that something is hurting them, like a stomach ache, or headache. Or will these kids always be locked away in their minds.

  • Wrong, they are underfunded, not caring and does not get the money or effort it deserves.
