The Blazers were young and nervous.

But Houston was better than L.A. (in terms of match-up). When they are healthy that is. Portland was the only team to play the 7'6" Yoa backed up by a 7'+ Muntombo. Then you had Artest and Batier making life hell for the gards. And where the hell did Brooks come from? That guy could not be contained by Blake or Sergio. Then you have Scola a guy who can make jumpers with a blindfold on. I'm glad Houston will not have that lineup next season.
