Jamaica is an awesomely beautiful country, the people however have allowed hatred of gay people to ensure that the country will always on the #1 list of most unfriendly places on Earth, if you're gay. Would not spend a dime there ever again and urge all the ones I know to do the same. I was just speaking of how they have gone so far as to kill and cut gays into pieces, not really inviting to tourists. Boycott Jamaica if your gay, they just might kill you for who you are.

great, ardently-needed message. but awkward dialogue, uncomfortably shot, and iffy setting and music.
the best part was hearing christine shaw talk to the camera candidly about her love for her brother, maybe a next video could be more like that, with a WIDE range of jamaicans from different socio-economic backgrounds just sharing their real stories of love and support for their lgbt family members. the key is to make it accessible and familiar, not 'foriegn', uptown, or 'other'.

If the Elites of Jamaica spent more time focusing on the poor and LACK OF EDUCATION among the majority poor masses, tolerance of the gay and lesbian community wouldn't come at such an intolerable price. Instead of the addressing the root of the issue which is primarily poverty and illiteracy , understanding and embrace would come a lot easier.

@Maxantium I'm afraid that doesn't make sense to me - to want a society to move forward towards acceptance of all Jamaicans ("Out of many one ppl" are we?) and then have a law that dictates against expressing your sexuality with a consenting adult. The US and Jamaica are very different societies - economically and otherwise. Idk why you see it fit to call me "disillusioned and insulated." My bubble is in my country, here in Jamaica.
