the clean mask comes before the escape mask in the remake he wore the clown mask and killed steve his sisters boy friend then he killed his sister with the clean mask then he hid it under the floor boards and went to jail/asylum (escape mask) then he dug the clean mask up from the floor but it was old an wourn out the (burried one as you said)
