  • What track is this? They use these pieces in other parts of AWE too...

  • @DoYouFearDeath333 This is the track "Will You Marry Me" but they only used it in AWE in this scene. They used a part of this music in On Stranger Tides during the mermaid/lighthouse scene

  • "It's just ... good business."

  • ı am totally going to think that music ıf ı die in slow motion.

  • Hans Zimmer is the most brilliant film industry music composer. Ever.

  • best freaking death ever!!!

  • Frickin' Return of the Jedi ending all over again. Like John Williams in Star Wars, Hans Zimmer keeps these mediocre filmmakers afloat... pun intended.

  • it's just...good business..

  • +m*

  • Hans Zimer > Mozart

  • Nooo... poor Beckett... I liked him somehow. Especially the expression on his face when he said "It's not personally Jack. It's just good business..."

  • That look on Beckett's face is wonderful. The culmination of knowing you lost, having your plans backfire on you, and being bested by pirates.

  • So glad the music in this scene was partially reused in On Stranger Tides with the mermaids theme

  • wow i wish i could walk down those stairs and be that epic

  • 2 people didn't get good business.

  • BECKETT NOOOOOOOO!

  • i think the reason he didn't fire back was because he was so used to succeeding that when he actually FAILED,he wasn't sure what to do.and that was his downfall.

  • @ilikstikz7804 that makes sense or it could be he was so shocked he failed he wasent willing to accept it

  • I suppose the disliker didn't left the ship on time.

  • Those pirates will go to hell -:(

  • this is what that insufferably long Stranger Tides mismatched heap of junk was so sorely missing! A Pirates movie NEEDS a naval battle! there wasn't a single cannon fired in the latest installment! WTF were they thinking, tantalizing us with the beautiful galleons of the spanish vs the Queen Anne's Revenge vs that admittedly measly frigate of Barbossa's.. Speaking of whom, who is he trying to fool, acting all Nelson on that pegleg without engaging anyone?!?

  • your'e a crrruel man jack sparrow!

cruelty is a matter of aspect....

  • Its just good business

  • I want this music for my funerals.

  • What's the bet that the 1 bloke WAS cutler Beckett?

  • Guy says - Orders Orders sir

EITC Officers say - Sir what are your comands?

    Beckett-Its Just......... Good Business

Guys say Abandon ship!!!!!! Abandon Ship!!!!!

  • what program did you use to cut out the sound?

  • @RoxaneAmber He didn't cut any sound, he simply delete all sound of the movie, then added the music from the Soundtrack "I don't Think Now is the Best Time", Just read the information of the vid...

  • Beckett disliked this video.

  • 1 man want make a good buisness...

  • "sir, orders?!?" - officer

" Die while I walk down the steps in slow motion." - becket

  • Making epic songs...It's just Good...Ahem...Awesome business...

  • It's just...Good business...

  • Beckett's good at dodging cannonballs it seems

  • I want this to be played in my time of dying o_O

    It's so powerfull!

  • I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVEEEEE how many characters died in this movie.......it made it so intense.

  • @ABDACOM haha, that sounds crazy xD

  • this song made me feel sorry for him!!!

  • LOL, Sao Feng died because of one cannonball, wich smashed a hole in the ship. One wooden shelf struck him right in the chest... Here: like a hundred cannonballs smash the ship to smithereens, with thousands of splinters flying all over the place, not one hit any of the captains (especially Beckett). Funny how the director changes his scene in (both) a dramatic way, like it though XD

  • cutler beckett voted this down

  • It's amazing how much emotion and feeling a musical score can add to a movie.

  • Cuter beckett, he was a dreanged genius. He was a cruel dictator. He was a bloody good businessman. And he was to confident in his plans

We must remember history or it is dooomed to reapet it

    lest we forget: It's just.....good.......business.................

(AND YES I KNOW "he was evil")

  • I will be honest, when I saw this film of DVD I was surprised by the amount of times the film seamlessly pulled an awesome moment after something really stupid. This scene was incredible, but I still think The rest of the Armada should have engaged the Pirate fleet in an awesome battle.

  • sad moment

  • Played this when I got my mid-term test grades.

    (That's my grade at 0:45 to 2:03 )

  • I KNOW ITS A GREAT MOVIE AND ALL, BUT I HAVE TO SAY IT, ALTOGH I LOVED ALL THE PIRATES MOVIES, HED BE DEAD LONG BEFORE BEING BLOWN UP IN THE FIRE BALL, I MEAN NO ONE COULD SURVIVE ALL THE DVESTATION AND LIVE THROUGH IT, LET ALONE CASUALY WALK FROM WHERE HE WAS, DOWN THE STAIRS AND TO WHERE HES BLOWN UP, ALTHOUGH IT WAS AN AWSOME SCENE NONE THE LESS, I HAVE TO BE HONEST HED BE DEAD, OR AT THE VERY LEAST SEVERELY INJURED BY ALL THE DEBREE FLYING AROUND

  • i say that it wasn't Impossible per' se. Just very, very unlikely. Plus it was jst too good a shot to pass up

  • @pvtread Dude, it's a movie. They did all that for dramatic effect. Calm down.

  • @veemon2343hat lol did you read the whole comment before leaving yours, why dont you and youl clearly see that i said the same thing

  • "Advance the entire armada forward! I want those pirates destroyed!"

"But sir, the pirates killed Lord Beckett; that means they won."

"What do you mean they won!? We have thousands of ships one our side!"

"Yes, but didn't you hear the epic music and see the awesome destruction of our flagship? It's over... we should all turn back... we lost."

"That just doesn't make any sense at all."

    "... I know."

  • @wiseidiot5763 Robot Chocken Star Wars special 2 XD

  • @wiseidiot5763 rules of engagement. If commander dies they lose. Plus lord beckett had their strongest ship. Destroying it killed the moral. No moral = they not going to fight. If your commander died you would most likely be like f this im leaving unless you are a family member or friend. They were just soldiers following orders.

  • @wiseidiot5763

With an Admiral an armada a thousand ships strong is a powerful force. Without him they're nothing but a uncoordinated bunch of ships and each of which could be taken out easily.

  • @wiseidiot5763 It's because they saw how badly they fucked that Endeavour up xD

  • I usually call this music "It's just good buisness".

  • @wikus887

Hey dumbass, Beckett wasn't real. He was just a character in an awesome movie, not a character, duh! The score and scene was great.

  • I N C E P T I O N

  • Comment removed

  • beckett did not fire because he thought both ships would do business with him like in the past and cut a mutually profitable deal.

when both started firing, he is thinking how uncivilised these savages are, resorting to violence instead of a good business deal. In the end, the violence itself is the good business tactic employed. Duh !

  • I would like to know how the Black Pearl and the Flying Dutchmen did not hit each other during all that.

  • in my opinion this is the best part of the movie.

  • cant believe people are replying to a year old comment lawl

  • "Its just... good buisness...."

  • @wikus887 Most of the hanged were innocent.

  • @XCHAPYEG hes the good guy though cause he was the royal navy commander, and the heroes were baddies

  • This score is so amazing.

  • cool

  • cool

  • Epicness!

  • Such an incredibly beautiful ship... It's a pity the endeavour explodes... Stupid fool... he could have shot the pearl and the dutchman to tiny pieces with all his guns. he just had to say: FIRE! then he would probably have survived and the pirates would've lost... but, of course that wouldn't be a happy end.

  • i think this music suits the scene

  • Now that is an exit.

  • the reason why lord becket decided to die was because he was paralized with shock, disbelieve, confusion, fear.thats why the powerful lord couldn't fight back

  • @l1ttl3man1 but he was so powerful y did he do it he had a whole army at his desposil he good of owned them

  • Will Turner ruined the Dutchman. Davy Jones was a much better (and less liberal) captain, and Turder ruin everything. THe Dutchman isn't barnacle-y anymore, and the sails are white; they should be green! RIP DJ

  • Evil you say? I thought that it was just good business.

  • Evil is a point of view.

To do bad for the greater good, evil or not?

To do things worse than your enemies would to defeat them, evil or not?

all a point of view, nothing more, nothing less.

  • @STEPHENDANERD Doing bad things for the greated good is always evil.

  • @babeecznik And how do you figure that?

  • nice nice, i would see this movie for this sceen alone nice one

  • There goes the only true Protagonist in the movie. Him and the East indian trading company were the true good guys. The rest were pirates stealing and killing everything. Great character tho probaly the best one next to Jack sparrow in the movie

  • @Rikuzano

You can hardly call him a protagonist though...

Sure, he followed the laws, but those were far from fair back in the day. Murdering fellow traders for their load was close to common. Sure, they took out the "terrible" pirates, which was "good". But it's an act of hypocrisy, knowing they plundered ships themselves.

So, no... to the movie he's an atagonist, and an amazing one at that. I have to agree with you there, he really is amazing, possibly second only to Jack.

  • Pirates of the Caribbean 3 - Soundtrack OST # 11 - I Don't Think Now Is The Best Time

  • BEST Charakter outing ever

  • That's so dumb that nobody fires even if the capt didn't give the order a lower lieutenant or something would have fired, hell if anyone was facing an enemy ship at point blank range at some point they would say hell with it and open fire.

  • soldier: orders? orders sir?

beckett: yes, i'd like two hamburgers, a medium fries, and a coke.

  • @incinerator327 I approve of this comment.

  • Remember it was nothing personal..it was just good business

  • It is a bit sad that he died. He was quite cool.

  • great music!!!

he actually doesnt deserve this song - but his victims do...

  • What a pretty death........

  • the most epic scene i have ever EVER seen. the music totally fills the sad mood. i almost cry everytime i watch this scene. RIP Lord Cutler Beckett. Best...Character...Ever

  • @Pokemisc6

    Agree!

  • @Pokemisc6 he died!!!!!!????? O.O

  • @Pokemisc6 Correction... Theodore Groves was the best... RIP Lieutenant Commander Theodore Groves :'( POTC 1,3,4

  • one of the most epic scenes in the history of movies

  • 0:13 ~ Lórd Cútlrë Béckétt thyncs tó sélf

    'ërmmm...Óh, déar...'

  • No, but this is only movie and here pirates wasnt that evil as they really are.

  • Pirates are pirates, any way you look at them.

  • movie priates or real pirates?

real pirates where more or less robin hoods. they stole from the rich and gave to the poor. most things where done in democracy. rape was never really a role of real pirates. they took from expensive ships. thats only theft. murder was rarely deliberate. they would not try to sink enemy ships but destroy there masts. the same apples to the train robbers. just like robin hoods of there times.

  • Lord Cutler Beckett was a true hero, unlike the protagonists of the series.

Jack Sparrow wasn't a hero; he was just a weird pirate suffering from dementia played by one of the most overrated actors of all time. Will Turner was a thief, a villain, and a pirate. Barbossa was an evil pirate captain who murdered hundreds of people.

What everyone fails to remember is that pirates rape, pillage, steal, murder, and do all sorts of dreadful things. All of them got what they deserved.

  • Lord Beckett was a villain

  • Overrated, my ass. He deserves all the praise he gets, considering how he got it. He wasn't a Hollywood go-getter, and didn't choose his roles for fame or for fortune, or for Academy Award nominations, so any of his acting acclaim was hard earned and well deserved.

  • Hmm, I suppose you're right. My mistake! Pirates are still bad, though.

  • Hahaha, that's ok =) We're all entitled to our own opinion, I suppose. But I like that this film looks at the other side, trying to show the good in crims.

  • @freelancer1912

    Well said

  • Beckett was a slaver trader and a CHILD killer...

  • I think he dies realising that all his life, all this, all he've done. All was a mather of interests for others, that everything, is mathers of interests, that his life have no value.

Interests, juste like today as well

  • He didn't died a hero.

He died like the true coward he was, too stunned to react against an enemy who fought back against him.

His cowardice under fire killed the men under his command.

  • Nah, all he could do was order his men to abandon ship and flee himself, but he wouldn't do that. All that reveals is him being a sociopath. I think he wasn't stunned, but calm and controled to the point of walking down the steps to the deck were he would meet death. That's a cool way to go.

  • @Istojataachatearme hes not a sociopath, he just realized death was imminent and did nothing to stop it. He went down with his ship like any captain (worth his salt) would.

  • I agree, but I said he was a sociopath because he doesn't care about his soldiers safety or maybe he didn't order his soldier's to fire or abandon ship because he knew they were all doomed...

Either way, I do think Becket is a sociopath.

  • @espp1973 stupid comment

  • Best scene of the entire movie!! Perhaps best death scene everrr

  • not perhaps

  • Agreed. Very epic scene. Hated Lord Beckett but he went out like a true G.

  • GREAT! Doom! Majestically, profoundly, powerfully, uncannily, grievously!

  • I felt bad for Barbossa. I felt bad for Jones. I didn't feel ANY remorse for Beckett because he was pure evil.

Murdering innocent men, women and children, posing as a patriot, wiping out pirates all so that his business wouldn't suffer.

  • thank you so much.. ive been looking for this a long time now, this is my fav music of all the films! i have even dreamed about this song, many times. it makes me feel like something horrible is going to happen

  • Beckett represents the epitome of capitalism and imperialism in their most ugliest forms, yet he dies a hero's death.

  • @leon778899 Epitome of Capitalism and Imperialism? How? He's just doing his job as a Naval Commander charged to deal with the pirate-threat to the British Empire. How is that evil at all?

  • Beckett had innocent women and children mass hanged.

    He was evil.

  • @XCHAPYEG

ah but they committed piracy. that was punishable by death anyway.

  • @XCHAPYEG He just did the things to get into his target. Does it make him evil if he was passionate and knew what he wanted?

  • @XCHAPYEG What you failed to mention was the fact that these 'Innocent women and children' were PIRATES - They were nortorious for pillaging and looting innocent ports and killing real innocent inhabitants. The crew of the Black Pearl in the first movie when they attacked the Port was a classic example.

Being a Pirate back then was a Capital Offense, thus Cutler Beckett wasn't the one to blame. (He is depicted as being evil in the movie, unfortunately.)

  • @Justinmac44 Wrong. Most of the people he hung he was not sure were pirates. There was no proof as to whether any of them were pirates. It was genocide for Becket's "War on Piracy".

The entire purpose of the beginning scene with the hangings is to show Beckett wasnt kidding around. He was going to go to whatever means necessary to end piracy, including killing hundreds of innocent people.

  • @XCHAPYEG Actually, the people that he hung in the beginning did not kid around that they were pirates, or at least collaborated with such - They all knew the tune and each sang it proudly. I forget one aspect of the scene as it's been a while since I've seen it, but I'm pretty sure the coin that the kid had been holding was something of significance. (Was it a pirate coin?)

  • @Justinmac44 the song reverbarates through the coin to all the other pieces of eight

  • i dont know if its just me, but I think it's quite amazing how everything's just exploding around him but nothing touches him at all

  • Quite amazing, really. By the time the Endeavour explodes he should have been pierced through the eyes by 30-40 splinters of wood...

  • @stalple That is such a good point. something must have eventually hit him though, to get him out of the shellshock

  • @stalple haha yea i noticed that

  • @stalple alot touches his torso and legs just not his face

  • Pure epic-ness. :D

  • if I allow myself to..I could dry listening to this...My respects to Hans Zimmer -the composer

  • I meant cry, not dry

  • relax, don't call yourself a piece of shit. i'm sure there is a solution for being an asshole like you.

  • To be Honest, I was quite annoyed that Beckett was killed. We all know that he was supposed to be the bad guy... but he wasn't. Davy Jones was the bad man in The POTC series. Beckett was only acting like a Posh man, His personality was what made him seem bad. He was doing his bit in making the world a better place to live. The pirates were very bad people back in those days. I personally think that Beckett should have survived in some way.

  • it is true that pirates were bad but Beckett portrays really well british officials. both were evil. and I think davy jones was just deeply hurt by calypso. I don't think jones was bad, calypso was though.

  • Cutler Beckett is the leader of the East India Trading Company who wishes to eradicate piracy forever. He joins forces with Davy Jones and the Flying Dutchman to do so, and they face off against Jack Sparrow and his friends in the final POTC movie.

  • what is the name of this music?

  • "I don't think now is the best time". That track is about 10 minutes long, so only this part that you hear in this clip starts at 3 minutes

  • Thank you, good sir.

  • Great. Let the awesome music speak for itself...

It will be hard to forget the epicness of this scene.

  • you know i think this version is better than the original. it looks better without the sound effects

  • this scene was the best scene in the whole movie, with epic music that went perfectly with it

  • I have to agree!! This scene was one of the BEST scenes in the whole movie!! the music, slow motion action as beckett walks in horror...it was PERFECT!!!!

  • I love Lord Cutler Beckett.

  • oh noes my beautiful Cutler!!

  • Love this music

  • AWESOME music.

  • my favorite death scene. this was put together well.
