I happen to love the aggressiveness of the lyrics to this song when he sang them originally, I don't really care much for the stuttering he brought in the later years. Yeah, Michael Landau's playing is mighty tasty too!! Still lovin' ole J.T.!! Thanks for posting this!

Almost for sure it's a Hammond organ.

The specific sound is coming from a Leslie speaker

The Leslie speaker is the key to the hammond sound.

You can search on you tube for Hammond and will reconize the sound.

@VTeetje  - it looks like a korg CX3 to me, which is a Hammond want a B(3) - funny. But "YES"..., the true magic of the Hammond sound is the modest and shy Leslie 122 speaker. 147 as well. (i have 5 Leslies. One for each corner of the room and another in an enclosed anvil case with 2 mics on top and 2 mics on the bottom. I drown out guitar players all day long...
