@122cadet I agree with ya on the IH models, but the single stage blowers have problems too, i have a QA42 that doesnt like anything other then powder snow, i tried last year in the somewhat wet stuff, but all it did was push, it would stick to itself and not want to move into the auger, i ended up plowing it with the 54inch blade. but yah after 1988 the tractors dpped off .
suprised it hasnt rusted to death. the qaulity of this machines is pathetic. just another poor mtd product. IH cub cadets, they were good tractors. mtd products... i cant stand. mass produced low qaulity. my parents bought a 2135 brand new and now it is falling apart. less than 400 hours on it. i just bought a 1970 cub 147 to restore and its goin' to be awesome
@ad356 Bought mine in 1987 and is still going strong, in fact I will be swapping out the mower deck for the snowblower this weekend. My unit still looks and runs like new. Of course, I pamper it, oil changes at least once a year, air filter replacement, wash it off and dry it after every use (except winter time when it only gets wiped down). After 23 years of use it shows no sign of needing retirement anytime soon :) If it did die, I would buy another one in a nanosecond!
im trying to explain to you that cub cadet was once a good brand, however now it is NOT. if you new something about cub cadet history this company was a division of international harvester. they were sold to mtd in 1981. cub cadet was allowed to operate independently until about 15 years ago, they were referred to as cub cadet corporation. mtd now produces poor quality products and cub cadet is no exception. compare my 1970 IH cub 147 to a new one, lol. 2135's are junk
@csxgk94 Bought new from Cub cadet years ago. Don't forget the weights off the back, improve traction and offset weight of unit up front. Home Depot offers one for $1,600. Well worth the money!
Up here in Alberta we call that "flurries" :D

MTD CUBCADETS ARE JUNK now IH CUBCADETS WILL LAST A LIFE TIME and a two stage blower sucks 1 stage for a cub works well in any type of snow
