@trudbol Isnt mostly because you've been singing alot and in your higher register? If you give a rest to your voice and drink alot of whisky the night before those Ds will come out as strong as never ;)
@s31rahc LOL Actually when you develop your low register, your higher register imroves a lot as well. If singing high makes you lose your voice, then there's something wrong with your singing. I can't sing these low notes today because I sing differently, much further away from the microphone (you can hear the room acoustics in my more recent recordings), so the singing technique is different in order for the voice to carry. It's pretty hard to make a powerful low D, let alone several.

@Haydenholden Well you're not going to change anything important in 3 days, so don't worry about it and do your usual thing. It's also important that you sound relaxed and powerful, pitch isn't everything. You can work on your voice with time ahead of you.
If you can afford it, take vocal lessons from an opera singer, it's (in my opinion) the best way to train one's voice. That doesn't mean you'll sing opera, it's more a technique for efficient and healthy singing.

@PurePhinaticTricker Thanks! People who speak of auto-tune usually *assert* I use auto-tune, but don't bother to ask or say they "think" I used auto-tune (which of course I don't). I think these people just want to prove they know something and feel that putting me down makes them important. I guess it comes with the territory, but it's always flattering to know some people are jealous. It's a sign what I'm doing maybe has some value. ;-)

@wendys120 Thanks Wendy! Yeah I have and I'm surprised there aren't too many good a cappella covers of this classic. I think the main limitation is that you need a strong bass to make it work, and most multitrackers are light bari-tenors. The guy who cound nail this song would be Les (acapeles1) with his amazing bass. I could provide sheet music if you want to request him to do it. That would be fun. Cheers ;-)
@hugocormerais I used Audacity for the audio and Sony Vegas Pro for the video. For the equipment, it's just my webcam, that's it. Just play around with the programs and you'll figure it out, it's very easy. Start with Audacity first. The video effect you're looking for is called "split screen", you'll find plenty of tutorials on YouTube.

@PurePhinaticTricker Thanks! People who speak of auto-tune usually *assert* I use auto-tune, but don't bother to ask or say they "think" I used auto-tune (which of course I don't). I think these people just want to prove they know something and feel that putting me down makes them important. I guess it comes with the territory, but it's always flattering to know some people are jealous. It's a sign what I'm doing maybe has some value. ;-)

Cest marrant quand jai ecouté Julien neel pour la premiere fois cest a dire il y a 5 minute jai ecouté sa version de "silvery moon" et je me suis dis tiens ca me fais penser a baby on board des simpson car je suis un fan absolu de la serie et voila que je tombe sur ca ! @wendys120 Thanks Wendy! Yeah I have and I'm surprised there aren't too many good a cappella covers of this classic. I think the main limitation is that you need a strong bass to make it work, and most multitrackers are light bari-tenors. The guy who cound nail this song would be Les (acapeles1) with his amazing bass. I could provide sheet music if you want to request him to do it. That would be fun. Cheers ;-)

@hugocormerais I used Audacity for the audio and Sony Vegas Pro for the video. For the equipment, it's just my webcam, that's it. Just play around with the programs and you'll figure it out, it's very easy. Start with Audacity first. The video effect you're looking for is called "split screen", you'll find plenty of tutorials on YouTube.
