Changing models is a violation accordingly to the Blizzard Policy.

This is often discovered by the launcher wich scans the wow folder for obvious errors. I suggest using the wow.exe file to launch wow instead of the wow launcher. thought, dont be suprised if you get caught by the game itself.

it's completely client side, in other words, no one else will see your changed gear. What you get banned for is like he mentions at the beginning, you can move things like the gate in av, or any BG. Effecting your own models is pretty ok, completely undetecatble but you will get banned for effecting world models to gain advantage.

I doubt that you can remove gates and then walk on past. If this does work then all it is doing is changing what you see on your screen. The data is transfered in item numbers and character coding everyone else will see the normal Bliz models. Remember, if you change your elf to a dwarf then every other elf you see will show as a dwarf. So if your goal is to deck out a lvl 1 with gear that looks epic to show off, it wont work, you might see epics but everyone else will see your lvl 1 gear.
