the bridge pickup has zero presence, the "tone" knob is quite unuseful, the nut is made of plastic, the craft is far away from being "peculiar", the bridge is crappy. The only good things are:
- cheap
- the bridge pickup is quite good
- if you really really want presence, turn on the active switch for the neck p.up
thanks a lot man, I appreciate your message a lot, to make the bassline just as the original I guess I should've use more open strings notes and play some variations here and there but you're right, I just wanted to have fun with my bass guitar which I forgot somewhere for way too long. By the way, Alex James is a nice composer, Graham Coxon is a genius, Blur were great overall, I didn't notice how good they were back then
Yeah I recently read Alex James' autobiogaphy which was great for the bits when he writes about the band, and agreed, he is a great bassist, most of my favourite basslines are by him. And you made another good point about Graham, he is indeed a great guitarist, I'd like to see you give Beetlebum a go with your guitar, just for the outro. Yeah they were brilliant musically in their time, shame all the media and hype overshadowed that.
I love this song man and you did a really amazing job. Did a great bassline great justice. It does sound a little different from the original, but just a little fancier, not a bad thing at all.
great show. could you send us a tab perhaps?
