  • They sing with their hearts mixed with all the love of the world.

  • I find it quite notable that Dead Can Dance has had such a profound effect on the thinking of their fans. Me myself have been totally embraced by this music for twenty years and seem not to be getting over it but rather to integrate it in my thoughts and emotions more and more as I grow older. Hungarian Kispál és a Borz is the only other band providing such a lifelong experience. Take care y'all.

  • Flawless!

  • The long haired man playing the guitar (at 0:17) could be Brendan Perry's brother.

    I'm sure he is!

  • @baxxxi Maybe, but that's not a guitar. It's an octave mandolin. :) Peace.

  • @keturiosakyss yep! I didn't notice! Thanks =)

  • @baxxxi I think it is his brother. (Or at least they have the same last name listed on the DVD this clip is from.)

  • love it

  • This is one of my favorite songs! I grew up on that MUSIC. I am playing the drums because of DCD and Loreena McKennitt. You are the best! Greetings from Poland.

  • It's sad they are not as well known. Their music is rich and fantastic to listen to, not like the junk that passes as music today.

  • Just so you know, at 5:28 I'm standing up, and I'm clapping.

  • Brendan listened to alot of Frank Sinatra songs as a youngster. He sang along to those classic records, and that formed his wonderful voice.

  • D I V I N A L

  • amazing voice.

  • I'll coin a new term for this song alone... "percussion porn".

    Absolutely stunning!!!

  • I'd enjoy DCD in Buenos Aires , Argentina in Dr Jeckyll theatre, back in 1996, and I was really blessed by their energy and music!

  • @claudiofimiani Yo también fui!

  • It is amazing!

  • Parabéns, bellissima voz.

    Congratulation.

  • wow ¡¡ so perfect this song i loooove it¡ DCD ¡

    Wherever love may flow

  • ...and God listen...

  • this guy should go on x factor KILL IT then give simon the finger and tell him to go fuck himself .

  • @topbluffa1 phuk tv DCD is UNIVERSIAL!!

  • i like the drummer guy's at 2:27 topknot.

    very hindu ;)

  • This Ronan guy must have legs of steel. I can't imagine the cramp I would have after jumping around for an entire concert like this.

Makes for a good Red Bull commerical.....

  • dowwwwwnnnnnnn the infiniteeeeeeeeeeeee borderless Path of the Mystics

  • Love it!

  • can't get over how pretty this song is.

  • So good! I played this music for my brother-in-law from the country of Jorden and he was blown away!

  • love the drums and the language. so earthy.

  • I'm dancing around a big bonfire with feathers in my arms invoking the demons...

  • il percussionista che saltella e trpppo forte.

  • dude's fuckin vocals rule.....

  • pinkie ,check out Don't Fade Away, it shows everyone's names and its a great song, I like American Dreaming the best though

  • Does anyone know the name of or more details about the wild drummer with D. C. D. -- the one with his dark curly hair pulled up on his head, wearing a peach-colored shirt in the "Oman" video?

  • @pinkie1009 - his name is Ronan O Snodaigh.

  • die gruppe ist und bleibt genial

  • Do it better.

  • Are all of these vids on DVD? If so.. what's the name? ty

  • Towards the Within. Dead Can Dance are genius'.

  • what an amazing influences they have! I adore dead can dance and lisa's voice. this is song is just WOW!

  • Cooool...,

  • Never one to flaunt it, Brendan Perry has an amazing voice.

  • impresionante--..

  • bloody hell, one of the best songs I ever heard

  • Amazing amazing amazing!

  • Comment removed

  • and to sing it live!!!

    amazing

  • wich album can i find this song?

  • Towards the Within =)

  • @MiloDC They are Genious! True...

  • @MiloDC

where was this song originally? wich album?

  • @drxmxm "Oman" wasn't on any album before the _Toward the Within_ concert release. Dead Can Dance have many songs in their repertoire that they've played only in concert. You can hear a lot of them (including "Oman") on assorted bootleg recordings.

  • are you being sarcastic?

  • I might have misinterpreted your question as a joke and jumped at the chance. No sarcasm intended.

  • No problem... I should have put some effort into researching more of DCD's songs... my favourite is 'The Host of Seraphim' and outside of that I haven't ventured far into their other work. I noticed on your Playlists that you don't have 'The Host of Seraphim' don't you like it? I think it's the best of them all (but maybe that's just me?)

  • You're not alone in that.

To me, it's very beautiful, but I only enjoy it in a certain mood. It's too depressing. :P

In my opinion Enigma of the Absolute, Ullyses, Rakim and other Brendan Perry songs are the highlights.

    Aion is a great album.

  • where in Oman did they perform?

  • @ EquusSomnium ('where in Oman did they perform?'):

In the small clay hut of a 89yo one-legged shepherd somewehere in the Rub al-Khali desert. It was DCD's only concert in Oman. And the song 'Oman' was the only title performed that night.

  • thanks for the reply

  • sorry.. my messages were added in the wrong order... I was trying to thank you first and then asked about the sarcasm.... apologies if I came across as being rude

  • Jewish is not a language. Did you perhaps mean Hebrew? Ain't that either. Read post #SSL9000J, or ZarathhstrasCrown then see if you have a clue. Good luck.

  • hey drthombotrongpha...you sound very ignorant in any language...couldn't you of explained to fikimiki44 in a way that would of helped understand without sounding like an ass(fiki44 might just not know?)...you shouldn't be listneing to dcd when you obviously are at a low spiritual level... get a clue yourself!!!

  • sounds like jewish

  • Sweet, haven't heard this in so long. Fantastic! Thank you thankyou thankyou!

  • Sounds like the thought world of a sorcerer.

  • Before every comment is the same question: No, it's not really a language. ;)

See "Glossolalia" on Wikipedia for more info.

  • Lisa Gerard describes it as the language we're all born with, the language of pure feeling. Not the language we learn for 'practical' purposes.

  • What is the language?

    What is DCD doing now?

    Great group!

  • No language...Lisa wrote a LOT of near-nonsensical songs vocally, they're more in the realm of using the voice as an additional instrument than saying anything...as for what they're doing, they did a reunion tour in 2005 (because of my retard girlfriend at the time I got screwed out of tickets, never forgave her for that) :P but aside from that they're no longer working together...Lisa and Brendan both have solo albums out they promote and such too...here's hoping they do another reunion tour...

  • Great..

  • You all fell that at 1:26

  • love this song. what does it mean?

  • What languege is that? or is it one?

  • jesus i grew up having my mum play this constantly now im just gettin bak into it didnt think it was so big

  • Wow!

Awesome!...I agree...DCD the best band ever!!!

  • god, how I love this song! it is so powerful, like all their songs...for me, DCD was the best bend in the universe!

  • SO HOT .... can't even begin to describe this.

I love crankin' up the volume on those boomin' percussions espescially at the end.

  • I love this song.

  • That tympani player is sure enjoying himself!

  • Realmente me siento como un niño de nuevo, es muy hermoso.

  • what?

  • an a-stamp and a phat j before this concert would fun.

and what i mean by this is exactly what you think, unless you are a tard de re.

  • they should perform while cirque de soleil is performing! that would be the best!

    the friggin best!!!!

  • these jokers must love the wacky backy..

    great music for the stoners!

    nice!!!!

  • Stoners? yeah, one of the lead singers, lisa gerrard, made the "Gladiator" soundtrack
