  • ma audio alert i bouight 2 hk 15" subs from the deep discounts on ebay 1 year ago both subs stop working after 1hr of us tried to return them they only had 1 instock i waited for them to get more been waiting 11months anuba out of cali /nor deep discounts will resolve this issue stay away from both deep/and ma products

  • You got the t/s perametes for the 15?!

  • and for anyone that says rockford is better than ma audio u need to have ur ass kicked big i want someone with a danm t2 to pull up next to me and say they can out hit me i will hand there ass to them

  • at 2000rms this sub will do a 141 db by its self i did a 141 myself in an 01 impala with just 1 on a hifonics 2500d and did a 148 on my last round i know it can do more because my amp takes 14 volts and my voltage dropped to 10 volts so it can do more

  • its linke good

  • dam i have that same sub only at 450 rms and bumps way better. is that a ported box? that box looks smaler than 4 cubic ft

  • watch out someone shit on his car and his sub!!

  • Wash your car man!!!!

  • Hey do you have the specs to that sub?!!?

  • Clean your car man..

  • the 10" im running hits these numbers...

    nothing impressive in my opinion.

  • Damn only 135.5? Get that shit ported it will bang A LOT harder. Nice setup anyway :)

  • so stupid, you don't put that thing in a sealed box, put it in a ported so you can hit 146 db.

  • LOOKS LIKE + AND _ ARE WRONG ????

  • Hey anychance you got the specs for this sub. im trying to build a ported box for it but i have no specs

  • i would have it checked on a better meter... i hit 146.8 on our local meter with 1 12'' spl sub and 1000 watts rms.. but i was also in a mazda 323 hatchback and ur grand prix is wayyyy bigger and its in the trunk but i think it should hit higher than that. check out my subs

  • smaller the ohms , better the intensity of sound ;)

  • your subs are cheap house speakers are 8 ohms

  • ohms is resistance buddy... lower ohms=less resistance.... *expencive subs have less than 2 ohms*

  • pontiac grand prix - nice car, + subwoofer makes it much more nice =) cooool

  • 136.5dB....I Had A Fucking 10" That Did Better Than That.

  • That sounds fantastic. What sort of setup did you have? What kind of car, enclosure, amp, sub, did you have? Also what frequency did you peak the meter you measured it with at? I'm dying to know, I want to get my hands on a 10 like that, and am in the market for another car.

  • dude i was reading your comment and some 10's can hit hard look at on of my friends vids hitting 145.3 with 2 10's in a single cab truck ( mikehonda23 ) on an official TL

  • Yea dude, depending on the volume of the cab, be it a car or whatever...anyway, yeah you don't need much to get good SPLs, there's some pretty easy calculations you can do to see exactly what you need too :)

    Party... hah.

  • quit talkin shit god damn if u don't like it then don't watch it

  • a piece of crap

  • Dirty car huh xD

  • wats 1.5 ohms running at 900 watts rms mean and wats rms.

  • 1.5 ohms is the impedance of the sub.

RMS = Root Mean Squared. It is the average electrical power being supplied by the amp. It is much more representative of the amp's performance compared to the "peak power".

  • i got 2 of those

  • dat shit is poundin

  • sWeeeeet

  • The MA AUDIO HK's are good but they don't last..The first HK 12" I bought might have lasted a month and a half, the second one just went out on me 2 days ago, it only lasted 3 weeks...Don't get me wrong they do bang hard but the "Double Layer Progressive Spider" breaks completely around the voice coil and burns up...My next SUBWOOFER will be the ((ORION HCCA 12.2))...look at the videos....IT IS KILLING SOLO X,T-1, STROKERS,and JL W7..check out the videos where they test the 2 together..

  • nice song to pick i love down

  • this sub sucks. its not a competition subwoofer cause my cusin runs them every friday. so i know

  • yeh this sub blows... riiiight.

  • get 2 =DDD

  • HHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAH, WHAT?!!!!!!!!!!! Man do people just turn their brain off and make stupid comments on random videos every day or what? Yeah so you "know" what! ahahah! Because you were there when he bought it right? Yeah, I remember you! You WERE there! NOT!

  • @crossfade2007

annnd how many watts does he have running to it....cuz if ur running 900 watts like he is THE SUB SOUNDS LIKE SHITT and doesn't power it right and its worse to under power your subs then over power them so get the right amount to it....i have 5500 watts running to mine and ill to you what that sub does not suck at all and get the box ported right do all that then see what u think

  • @xialildawg This sub sounded great running at 900 watts RMS. Had it in my car for three years with no issues. Also, underpowering a sub will not damage it. As long as you have a clean signal and you amplifier's output power is under the power rating of the speaker, it will be fine. It sounds like crap in the video because i was using a crappy camera with a crappy microphone, in real life this thing was smooth as silk.

  • @bholowick

ooh i know its cuz of the camera i hate that they cant pick up full bass :( but i bet it does sound amazing in real life i have one too but i cant figure out how to wire it for 1.5 ohms i have a 5500 watt mono block amp i can push to it....was wondering if you could send me a wiring diagram of it

  • @crossfade2007 THESE SUBS ARE ACTUALLY BADASS IF U KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING. I PUT 4 IN A EXPLORER AND I GUARANTEE YOU WOULD JUMP LIKE A GIRL AND COVER YOUR EARS WHEN THE BASS DROPS. ILL POST A VIDEO VERY SOON. AND THEY ARE ONLY RUNNING AT 850w EACH SUB.

  • yes it is true. i did some research before hating on this guys sub.

there is a 10,000 watt version of this sub. the magnet and everything ouse looks different than the newer version. i can't say it can produce the (10k max) power but i do "think" it does the same as the newer version.

there was no confusion to all the other people smack talking, it's just that there is a newer version with a more decent rating and the cone looks the same.

    bottom line: do some research!!

  • Finally someone with a brain. Thanks for the comment man! And yes this is the older version, I got it at an overstock/surplus warehouse for $280, it was the find of a lifetime. They also had the 18" version there but it was too big to fit into my truck!

  • Trunk... not truck.

  • Yeah man, that magnet was freaking HUGE, remember trying to put it in the box? Just about lost fingers there... heavy!

  • The magnet alone weighs 20 pounds :)

  • Or was it more than 20... I know the entire sub weighed 70 pounds. I weighed it on the bathroom scale. hahah

  • @bholowick how good is this sub im actually thinking about buying 4 of these and im wantin to know if they will stand up to 2000watts rms each

  • @Profoundmetal1 depends on your box man type r 12's are 500rms a friend has run 1200rms from his M1000 (birthsheet rms) in a ported box we designed and i've never smelt it burning

  • dam that sucks

  • holy shit i just ordered two of these in 15'' and i got one amp to power them both at 1000rms each at 1ohm :P omg i cant wait

  • You will die... haha. But seriously this system in the video is the loudest I have ever heard (not in a competition). Unfortunately I no longer own a car and the sub is sitting collecting dust :(

  • Actually, the RMS on that sub is 2,000 watts, max 4,000 watts, so don't lie. Also, it's a 2 Ohm sub, not 1.5, again, don't lie. This sub is nothing special about this sub... But, not bad for $179. And yes, that's how much it costs brand new.

  • UUUUMMMM no. are you an idiot? YES you are! Max 10000 watts, rms 5000 watts, and it costs $1000 new, you fucking retard. This sub is discontinued, so when you typed "ma audio hardkore 15" into google you got the specs for the newer shittier version. So how about you stop thinking you're smart because you are a fucking idiot.

  • Wow, so angry! So, you're saying instead of making a sub better, the company went the other way and made them worse? And A LOT cheaper? Is that what you're telling me? Who is the idiot now? The went from making the SAME sub $1,000 to $180? I don't think so. It's not a bad sub buddy, just not 10,000 watts or $1,000... EVER!

  • I like how you think you know my own sub than me, I'm the one who bought it moron!

  • Also... Let's just say it is 10,000 watts, just for fun! Ok, if that is true, then you are severely under powering that sub, which will kill it so fucking fast! So, RMS (meaning the lowest power it needs to efficiently power it, without ruining it)... is 5,000 watts, you're still NOT EVEN CLOSE to powering it! STOP BEING A LYING HOMO! NO ONE LIKES IT!

  • Actually RMS is the average power the sub can handle... moron! How would "underpowering" a sub ruin it? That makes no sense at all. And I am not lying about the max power handling, if I still had the box for it I would take a pic of the specs and show you.

  • rms is synonimus with continuous meaning the max amount of power a speaker can handle for a long time without blowing. peak power is the max amount of power a speaker can handle pereod. (for very short pereods of time.)

  • How is the RMS power handling the "lowest power it needs to efficiently power it, without ruining it"? You obviously don't know what RMS means...

  • This is the average maximum power output of an amplifier or the maximum average power of a speaker measured at 0.1% THD (Total Harmonic Distortion). Note that some manufacturers quote a higher THD for the RMS figure, which means that at the given rating there will be a higher level of distortion.

  • would you know if this sub could handle at 1 ohm at 2200 rms or would it blow cause i had mine at that and i think i blew the spider off?

  • This particular sub can handle 10000 watts max power, which is very extreme. If you don't want to blow your sub, wire it up so that the impedance of the sub draws the proper amount power from the amp. For example if your amp says "1000 watts rms at 2 ohms" and your sub says "1000 watts nominal power handling" hook it up so that your sub has 2ohms of resistance. Then you won't blow it.

  • ok my amp is 4000 max watts 2200 rms at one ohm so if i wire the sub this way will it blow

  • well what is the power handling of the sub? just tell me what it says on the box.

  • it also depends on the excursion

  • if u know what you're doing u can make anything slam

  • so true :)

  • that's true .. my car got 180W RMS of sound. It's clear, powerful and way better than most of my friend which have 400W+ RMS of power

  • Your car is really really dirty.

  • Thats what happens when you drive on gravel roads every day :)

  • i hit 140.9 with just my 12" Fi Q

  • hell yea dude, 15's are tha way to go.

  • if u think a 15 inch sub is better then a 12 inch sub then u have no idea how a sub works 10 inches is the ideal size for a sub that can produce reall smooth tight bass after 12 inc h

  • after 12 inches it starts to lose its frequency response

  • A 15" sub can produce smooth tight bass if its in a box designed for that just like a 10" sub can produce low wobbly bass, its down to the box as well as the sub.

  • yes but with a big cone like a 15 inch sub at high volumes it will start to warp dependin on wut the cone is made out of but for rite now ima stickin to 10's and 12's i got 10 inch fi btls on the way

  • Any half decent sub that can take power will not have a cone that will warp. A 15" sub will also have to do less to reach a certain volume compared to a 10" sub would for the same volume.

  • how well a sub produces "tight" bass is not size dependant. it all just depends on the TS parameters of the sub
