  • @Vuji222 Thank you Dunielle! I am so glad you like it~! I have filmed some longer vids of my process..... but I always feel they may be too long ...I will keep it in mind in the future -if you see them, you will know it is largely due and thanks to your encouragement!

  • @olivosARTstudio You are welcome! I know that some may think that the video may be too long, but for other artists, I think it is nice to watch others' processes. For me, I just love watching people paint. Obviously I have my preferences as to who I want to watch, but in general I think it is interesting.

You know that feeling you get when you first meet someone (even through the internet) that you know you are going to connect with or be inspired by? I have that with you. I think it is a...

  • @olivosARTstudio continued. combination of your work, personality, and your style (the way you work). To me, your first video shows your freedom(?) in the way you work. Does that make sense? YOu were barefoot, walking on the canvas(I know there would have been no other way to do that, but still), feeling the canvas. I don't know, I could see your passion. And then when I saw your second (and my fav) video, I knew I would love not only your work but watching you work. Smashing the pigment into..

into the canvas. It just felt raw. I love it.

  • I love this painting. This is the video that made me subscribe to your channel. I just went to your website again to look at the finished product. I love it. I wish you would have filmed you painting the entire piece. It is so cool to watch this video and see where the piece is at and then to go look at the final product. I think my favorite thing about this painting (and it is probably because I watched you do it) is the large spot of cobalt at the bottom of the painting. Love it.

  • thanks

  • Wow. That was beautiful.

  • I certainly like any abstract piece, but I still go for realism. For me at least, I find it hard to understand the difference between good quality abstract art & fair quality abstract art. Help would be greatly appreciated.

  • I appreciate realism -especially when it comes to classical painting techniques...but I adore the creativity inherent in abstract and other non realist type art!

  • Amazing work! I really hope you get your paintings back! I wish you much better luck in the future!

  • thank you! there is always hope right :)

  • It's great to hear that now you know it is toxic. It was scary to see you use your bare hands like that. Of course, I have, on accident, drank turpentine thinking it was my glass of water - shocking experience really.

  • mmh.. I have drank turpentine in more than one occassion while painting!

  • saludos afectuosos desde Santiago de Chile

un abrazo y felicitaciones por tu labor

  • I hope you have your paintings back, it's been alomst a year since making this video. Yes Cobalt blue is very toxic! Any of the cobalt colors are. In fact many painting supples are.

  • Thanks!

I actually still DO NOT have my paintings back ... I still hope someday someone in beautiful Mexico will do the right thing and return them. I have no idea if they are still in the same box I sent them in, stored in customs... or if someone has them hanging in their home somewhere!

I have identified them on my website--- so maybe someone will recognize them someday.

    Soon.

    I am a hopeless idealist!

  • Nice,good fun!

  • como va tu juego?

  • Cool, I just love the passion.

  • Wow i'm sorry to hear about your paintings becoming political prisoners!

I can relate to your urge to touch the pigment, it's so visceral and tactile and childlike. Shame so many art materials are hideously toxic...

  • ...I agree! I am now using disposable gloves with dry pigment, but stil try to enjoy the visceral pleasure of feeling paint and materials otherwise!

  • terrifyingly fun to watch

  • great work, your a pretty lady too

  • thank you!
