my turtle does this same thing to rocks...he is only 1 year old. Does this mean he is lonely and needs a friend in the tank, or is it normal??? I wonder! :) Thanks for confirming what this was with your video.
Well, I think it's normal. My impression is they love having other turtles around, but unfortunately I don't have a big enough tank at the moment to include another turtle. You're welcome and thanks for letting me know I'm not the only one with a turtle that really likes it's rocks.

Hahaha! Mine did this to a snail. It's also a sign of dominance, saying I'M BOSS! It's the funniest thing ever!
