First Discovered Sigur Ross about 6 years ago, and have been a rabid fan since.

There is a movie called Heima (I believe) that is a sort of docu/music movie of there travels around Iceland after a world tour.....

Most beautiful and scenic places, some acoustic as there was no power available, and the finale in Rekyavik (sp) is powerful as hell

There are some fascinating interviews sprinkled thru, and you get a real feel for their mission in putting the band together.

By the way, this song doesn't actually have lyrics. The lead singer, Jonsi, calls the vocals "Hopelandish," which is essentially him using his voice as an instrument...or singing gibberish. Still beautiful. Maybe more so.

Actually the soundtrack for this movie has been done for a part by a similair kind of band : Mogwai.

it depends - some people think it is overly convoluted and stupid. you certainly have to pay attention - i'll give you that.

personally nothing i have ever seen has ever moved me so deeply since i saw it five years ago - by the end i was an emotional train wreck. its an exceptionally powerful and tragic love story (so don't watch it with a group of mates) and the plot is complicated (so dont watch it with a girl). im not going to tell you i 'really related to it' because i didn't. no one could.
