@mr760beto Trying reinstalling the program, hopefully this will help. I'll try and figure out what the problem may be, it may take some time but I'll try and get back to you when I can.
@Bleachfan0797 When you set up your record configuration using the record tap, it will see where the file is to be saved. Virtual DJ will set up the file location for you, you can change the location if you choose to.
i record and i cant open or hear my recordings! ):
im trying to get my mixes by tomorrow night, i want to know how you automatically have your recordings set with itunes. mine show as Bin files that my computer does not allow me to open. help. thnks!
Recording on Virtual DJ is fun,but what I cannot seem to understand is why in the hell does every file that I gave a name is always followed by three zeroes? Why can't the name of your file that you record be a straight-edge name?
@DJaySHAWN Check the file format, not sure why you're not getting any sound. I normally record in mp3 format at 192kbps. See if it will play thru "itunes".
@jose93aguilar What version of "virtual dj" do you have? It may be a version that you may not be able to record in. Also see if you can record in wav format, if so record in wav, then use itunes to convert into mp3 file format.
@zhad100 The format of the video may have something to do with it. I may be recorded in a format that your media players don' t recognize. Your media players have to have the proper codecs. Check the properties of the videos to see what format they are, then find out what type of file formats your media players can play.
Lame mp3 encoder may work for you. What version of virtual dj do you have? The encoder should already be with the program, if not search google for mp3 encoder that you can use with "vdj".
I have a bit of a problem. When I mix, I usually raise the "Gain" to match the sounds with another song, and after I'm done recording, and I put them in my ipod, the sounds still sounds soft and shitty, is there a way to fix the problem? And do I have to keep the gain at 0.0?
0.0db is were I normally keep mine set. Treble I keep at 12 o clock point, midrange are 10 or 11 o clock and the bass at 10 o clock. Master volume is probably at 75% level. Do some test recordings to see where you are going to get the best sounds. It's a pain, but this is what you have to do to get the best sound.
Also watch your gain meters, some songs are equalized better than others. On vdj check to make sure you are recording at 192kbps, that has worked for me.
Ok if you download songs from itunes they are in mp4 format. What you have to do is create a playlist of all the songs that are in mp4 format, click on select from edit menu, then right click on the highlight section, then click on create mp3 version. In edit tab, click preferences, then advanced, this is were you will see itunes media folder location so you can find your music, hopes this help. Please let know, thanks
@zhad100 The other media players might not have the right "codecs" to play them. Check the format of the video file that you recorded. It's like an mp4 format file will not play in a mp3 player, you might need to convert the file. I do apologize for getting back to you so late!
The encoder should be in your virtual dj file, I have the 5.0.7 version of virtual dj. I am not sure what version you have. I thinking that if you can play mp3 files, you should be able to record. If you can record in wav format, you can do that. It;s just that the wav format is regular cd format, so you do not have to convert to mp3.
I have a quick question....I have my turntables hooked up to virtual dj & everything. But when I record my mix...I use my crossfader on my mixer, then when I listen to what i recorded, it just plays both songs overlapping, As if I didn't use my mixer @ all. But out of my speakers as I'm recording it, my mixer works fine. So my question is, How do I get it to record me crossfading & effects with my mixer?
When you open virtual dj, click on your config tab, then go to sound setup tab. In the output section, click on the arrow to your right to change the output to external mixer, this will change your output channels to use left(channels 1&2) and right(channels 3&4). This way you are bypassing the internal mixer and using an external mixer, this should work for you.
man i have a problem, when i press start recording to record mp3, it says to me Can't record and ( Error, can't open mp3 encoder, so what's the problem ???? please i neeed helppppppppp :S:S:S:S
You may have to convert the songs into mp3 format on itunes. Itunes songs are downloaded into mp4 format. Once you have playlist in itunes, right click on the song, there should be an option to convert the song to mp3 format, once you convert to mp3 you should be ok. With Virtual DJ, click on config tab, then codecs tab, you see a list of codecs, there should be one for mp3. Hit me back if this does work.
