Mine looks exaactly like yours, i named mine chloe. shes about the same size aswell, i was told at the store she was 2.5 years old but realsied thanks to jon3800 that she is about 5 or 6 due to her size and how slowly they grow, lovely T
hi ya i also have one of these loverly t,but mine the red colouration, but when i bought mine they said it was female but i am not so sure know, can you please help me out as it seems to be making a sperm web i am more a scorpion person but all creatures great and small are all fasinating especialy turantulas, any info from any one would be very cratefull ; )
my rosea is called fluffy too :) great minds eh! dont know how old she is because i got her from someone i used to work with and he did'nt have a clue about t's. just glad she's got a good home now. she is pretty aggresive though, my other rosea is really well behaved but fluffy has got it in to her head that my fingers are edable.
Lol, fluffy is extremely docile, but just before a moult she goes bipolar again :P. She actually moulted into a slightly rusty red colour, and I'm not sure if she's NCF or RCF as she looks similar to both :/
yeah revoltkid is right, i have 4 G. Rosea's and one of them is 14 months old and is 1 inch big, so thats impossible.... it's atleast 5 years old. nice spidey tho...
Female, you can tell by the spermethea which is more open in females than in males. Males also are gnerally more leggy and their pedipalps are thicker and more club-like. Some species' males have tribal hooks on their front legs to stop the female from eating them after mating :)
Aww, cute tarantula. If it weren't for my fiance's arachnophobia I'd get one and name it Fluffy too.

is this a female? or a male, whats the easiest way of telling, i know males supposed to be more leggy and have smaller abdomens than the females
