awsome video man and i appreciate it, however it did not solve my problem. The Wireless light on my laptop does not turn blue anymore even though I turn it off n back on... it happened two days ago and I dont know what to do. I hope the hardware is not damaged. when i trouble shoot it, it does not find any network connections.... Any advice/help would be much appreciate it....

Goto Start -> Run and then type cmd in the box

On the command prompt type ipconfig /release and hit Enter

then type ipconfig /renew and hit Enter

It will reset the wireless adapter.

whenever it says "windows cannot find any wireless networks" and i go to diagnose it says "some devices or drivers are missing from wireless network adapter"

ok..so i linksys wireless router-G. I also have a Wireless-N USB network adapter. I had the G connected but now i want to connect the N for better connection. I had the password to the network for the G, but when i try to connect the N, it asks for it again but i dont have it. is there anyway i can get the password through the G-USB adapter?? mine does that sometimes if it is turned on then go on CONTROL PANEL then DEVICE MANAGER the expand NETWORK ADAPTERS then select the wireless on then go on the DRIVER TAB and unistall it but don't delete it. then just resatr your computer and it should reinstall it's self after a min or 2

And you know what really annoys me. Large companies advertising computers as Vista capable and they are running 512 RAM with the worst specs you can think of (512Ram on a 486PC!). Some poor old Nanna who's been conned by her kids has scraped up all her money to get a computer has just been ripped off cause it's soo slow it either blue screens because she clicked the mouse twice and she uses it for a paper weight or it's so slow her ticker gives out before the page comes up...

That's not why we (meaning me) don't like Vista. I can't bring myself to waste 15GB of my harddrive just for the OS when it could be utilised so much more efficiently elsewhere. I don't like having to 'upgrade' my machine (Vaio VGN-C15GP) with 2GB of ram just so it could function at a normal everyday speed/ pace because the OS looks prettier... at the end of the day it does the same thing. Reset the wireless box, it'll go back to old settings and you can access it with a wired machine then. Then you can change things however needed.

I have the same problem, it has to do with your router or network or mabe even vista itself. try resetting your router and encrypt it with security. If this doesn't help try googling it and you will find your answer :-)
