I have heard countless interpretations of this Polonaise, and this is now my favorite. Ingrid, this is an astonishing performance.

I've been listening to interpretation after interpretation of this piece. THIS is the one I've been looking for. If nothing else, she plays the piece subtly and softly where others simply showed off their ability to adeptly decimate the keys. Appropriately, it was a woman who did this piece right.

Furthermore, the fact that this video is missing a star is only a demonstration of sexism in the music world. That's all it can be. Fantastic, Ingrid.

I'm afraid I must agree with trigonsearch on this one. This pianist is often marvelous, but in this case, alas, Chopin is simply not at home.

Trigonsearch: perhaps your comment demonstrates all that is wrong with frustrated musicians: envy. When someone has been achieving as successful as Ingrid is, you can respectfully disagree with the criteria of judges at the Busoni and Chopin competition, and also with the Gilmore Foundation. By saying that everything is wrong, you clearly display your lack of musical talent as well as your envy. Listen, practice, learn, and respect!

This performance demonstrates all that is wrong in most young performers today. There is no sweeping line in the phrasing, no nobility, and no poetic imagination. Very straightfoward and not subtle, thus boring.
