@missjo797; In Islam you accept the Qur'an and ahadith in its entirety, there is no middle ground, to believe there are moderates is pure nonesense! They both use the same books and have the same belief. When Islam takes the upper hand, then all muslims join them. When they don't have the upper hand, they play the game of moderates or sleeper cells until they are strong enough to do otherwise. That is the typical game muslims play.

I disagree inherently with claims that there is no moderate Muslim or 'Islam' as a way of life as an Egyptian Christian. I know countless Muslims who take the good of Islam and leave the bad. Same with Christianity and how I practice it. If I were to "follow the Bible", I wouldn't be compatible with society. I'd be selling victims of rape to their attackers to "cancel" the sin of rape and stoning homosexuals. So... yeah. If there's no moderate Islam, than there's no moderate religion period.

when Christ stopped the stoning of an adulteress saying "he who is without sin cast the first stone" whereas Muhammad condoned stoning that's why it is still done in th Islamic world. Christ and Muhammad were entirely different people and to treat the the same is ignorantly dangerous.

Religion is not the problem. Man is the problem. Man all throughout history has used religion for his ulterior motives. Unfortunately, charismatic men have led millions to murder other men. The responsibility of man, especially if he has a heart for God, is to stand up to those that abuse religion. Inaction allows evil to grow and infect society until evil seems reasonable.

The huge difference between the other religions and Islam, is that when the other religions kill and murder, it is against their teachings, however with Islam, that is the way Mohamed lived and the instructions given to Muslims from Allah in the koran and hadiths. Islam has no 10 commandments and still live in a violent, barbaric way, which will never change;since the 7th century Islam has been at war and murdering, 57 countries already have been taken from their native populations

@abbienetvision I don't disagree with that. I just think that there is a responsibility of muslims who really would not commit murder in the name of Islam to stand up and defend their position. This happens occasionally but not nearly enough. Remember too, that there are Christians in history that hijacked their religion to conduct war. We must confess all sins, not just those of Muslims. Radical Islam is the problem at hand right now though and it's a big problem.

What if Muslims have to accept the entire koran and cannot question it (sura 2:1) ?

What if the Koran says, in no uncertain terms TO KILL in order to expand Islam's reign?

What if the daily Muslim prayers said in every mosque parrot this same idea?

Maybe that can explain why the Muslims are not out protesting the terror, they know they must accept it, even the koran says "But you may dislike something which is good for you, and you may like something which is bad for you"(2:216)

The problem with people like this is that they buy into Islam to begin with. If they stick around preaching Islam someone down the line will make the connection that violence is the way to go. Dr. Hamid, I respect you, but you need to go away.

I agree with Dr. Hamid but the problem isn't Muslims in the West. The problem is Leftists and Liberalism. His test is honest, forthright, and sensible, which is why Liberals will shout it down and scream racist. That's the real problem. We wouldn't need ACT if we didn't have Liberals and Leftists. Go back to 1783 when Muslims were attacking, robbing, and murdering Americans and there was no Political Correctness to get in the way. The problem was solved quickly after an honest assesstment.
