  • I had this disease when I was 12 & I'm 32 now. My brother had it when he was 2 & he's 34 now. I thank God everyday that I'm alive as well as my brother. We've led a normal life not having any respiratory problems from this illness or anything like that. I am SO glad I looked up this video and the disease. I want to make others aware. I had no clue when I was a kid that I could have died if not treated. You don't think like that when you're young.. you just get happy when you feel better. lol!

  • I had Harley Davidson disease as a child but it's gone now.

  • HairFlippinDude~Glad to hear you are doing well & get your echo cardiograms regular, not sure many people who had KD as a child realize the importance of follow up care. Continue with them as you get older. I wish you much health & happiness!

  • WARNING to all who have been diagnosed- please make sure you get regular check ups with a cardiologist! The complications & damage can arise years later when you think you are fine. My Nephew died at 26 from blocked arteries & in research I am finding that you may still be at risk for coronary artery disease. Sending this message to you all in hopes you will have a long & healthy life!

  • @juliekay1969

thanks for letting me know this. I had kawasaki disease as a child and will make sure I get a check up.

  • @juliekay1969 i get echo cardio grams every single year and im thirteen :D doin very welll diognost at 2 months also had three anurisms cuz i was treated late D: its really scary if u think about it so yess get ur check up often

  • i had it when i was little, i remember having this huge purple rash on my tummy and i wouldnt eat. i had to have needles stuck in my veins and other stuff like that. so yeh, its not a nice thing :)

  • My daughter got it 3 weeks ago and shes only 5, shes doing better now but its got me worried everyday that go's by cause she can't get sick untill she better and off the asprin. The bad part about this disease is that if she does get sick while still on the asprin she can get REYES SYNDROME which can cause death.

  • dear ... My heart goes out to you as I read your message. Our son was diagnosed with Kawasaki's about 5 years ago. He had every symptom in the book. He entered fever stage and was prescribed gammaglobulin. We bought him home without allowing the treatment. I am not a health professional of any kind, but we did two things. Our kids were having soy milk as a cows milk replacement(which i was never comfortable with) we stopped that. We then started pouring organic carrot juice ...

  • carrot juice into him, which he hated. It was juiced in an expensive champion brand juicer, which preserves nutrients. His recovery was overnight and complete, he got up the next morning like he'd never had it. I wrote to a couple of heart foundations but there was no interest. I am praying for you.

  • DOAH! I thought the name was somehow a mistake... I thought of the motorcycles called by the name of Kawasaki.

So I'm glad I watched this, as I had never heard of this disease before... O,o

This is a great video, ignorant doof's like me learn something from videos like this.

    Thanks for sharing this.

  • Lol! I had this disease when i was a kid and had a hole in one of the valves of my heart (murmur) that I lived with....funny thing is I am planning on getting the bike now I am much older and conquered this disease, how Ironic lol!

  • my brother is in a hospital right now caus of the kawasaki i hop is gona be ok he is onli 4 years man can u belivit 4 years!

  • im 22 i got it when i was 3...i have an irregular heart beat now and respiratory problems that happens if it goes un treated for 14+ days

  • i got it a few years ago im only a preteen im doing pretty good though

    i also have sickle cell

  • I had a son, it died in April, victim of the Kawasaki disease, one day before to complete the 14 months.

I never heard to speak of this syndrome, until having beaten in to my door.

This video promotes the knowledge and the medical inquiry... Perhaps one day, the science obtains form to prevent tragic outcomes, what as happened with me and my baby...

    Thanks,

    VF - Portugal

  • i suffered from this too when i was a child, dont know much about it though.

  • your heart beat funny or you have breathing problems ever? i had it 18 year ago

  • thanks

  • I suffered with Kawasaki for about 2 years in the early 90s. Great video...this disease needs more awareness

  • Exactly the same here. I remember how painful it was to try to open my mouth every morning since my lips would fuse together. I took a stroll through the literature recently to try to see if a cause was identified. I always guessed it was viral (some people now blame a coronavirus), but I was disappointed to learn that there wasn't anything close to a consensus on this.

  • Great video,A+++
