  • Yeah, when i drop the clutch my car jumps off the ground too..no biggie

  • I hear a bridge port 13b at the end of the vid :)

  • @Tsxtasy1 Shit sorry about that, I really should have edited that out!! hahaha

  • WOW! Nice Car!!!

  • love the graphic on the side, it might be why the car is so fast

  • I have an RB25 that needs more power!! Keep hearing how shitty the cylinder heads are.... making about 420whp on 20psi... i want 5!! any tips

  • @Flattrate check some of my vids of stock RB25 headed motors, 450-500whp is no problem and 600+whp is pretty easy with a little NOS. More boost man!!

  • @RIPSNZ

You seen the footage of the blue vl commodore, (VL GOD)!. Only a few outings & is near your number's with a heavier race car. Can see this VL chopping your number's!.

  • @ellareh Yeah I have seen it and it is an awesome car although FAR more of a true drag car than the 240z, VL GOD is a full tube, lightweight purpose bult car on meth etc, the 240z is heavy (1300kg) has a stock front end, firewall and floor, basic 6 point street cage and ran on petrol, 2 totally different cars so we did alright I think. best of luck to the VL GOD team.

  • @RIPSNZ Hey rob is it possible for this machine to get into the 6s ?

  • @METALGEARZETTO I don't have this car anymore. It is just a street car body with a 6 point cage and a 4 link rear in it, its not even close to the way a chassis would need to be for an engine of this size to get into the 6s.

  • this is by far the sickest sounding RB i have ever heard.. what kinda RPM is that thing turning?

  • @Flattrate Usually around 10,000 but we have been to 11,500 when we hit the bumps

  • hey rob you should move your workshop to christchurch

  • i am saving up for the rb30 :D

  • Does this car run on street tyres still? or MT slicks?

Cause i read that 8.7's is what u did on street tyres correct?

  • It was on slicks in this vid but pretty sure we did get down to 8.2 or 8.3 on the fully treaded hoosier quick times, then we went quick time pro's and almost did 7s then we went to MT slicks.

  • rhasss rob are you telling me ur running 1000hp on a stock internal rb30, thats quite amazing. so i take it the rb30 stock bottom end is very strong.

  • We've just run 7.26 @ 179mph and its still in one piece, lol, its not a complete stock RB30 bottom end, we change the pistons and rods, it has a stock block, stock crank, stock cradle and stock mains bolts though.

  • "... blow up like bomb .." What, are you sitting on a rock on a hill in the Bekaa Valley with a laptop using a soviet sat uplink watching car vids in between bomb making lessons? lol Not everything blows up. Just kidding man, I know you meant to put an 'a' in there.

  • and there getting all this power out of a stock unfilled block, stock crank, stock cradle, stock mains bolts, and stock wet sump with out any problems. im sure some day that car will blow up like bomb

  • Yep I'm sure your right. The motor is now running 7.40s in our new car ans it still hasn't been pulled apart, it even has the same oil and same spark plugs!! lol.

When it does go bang I won't be worried at all, its done FAR more than we could have ever dreamed of when it was built as a "weak" test mule.

  • yeah. your new drag car is even more of a beast. how much power are you pushing out of that RB30 now? and is it still a 30 or does it have one of the RB33 kits on it?

  • Its still the same old RB30 untouched and we are only at about 1000hp at the moment untill we get some grip.

  • cool. well its a real american car killer. japan all day every day

  • i need 10 grand then im off to ngongotaha!

  • Rob at it again! Looks like you could use some chassis stiffening there mate! Hehe. I don't think its a case of the engine tearing apart ,as we all know your IMPECCABLE record, it's more likely the chassis is going to rip in half at the start line with the torque! Lol!!! I bet you could tip a battle ship over with that. Great stuff, cant wait to see the 6s car...

  • Check my other vids, the new FED has done 2 gentle test runs and its looking promising......Rob

  • 700 lol!

Say, wouldn't it be the icing on the cake to beat the fastest skyline? Is the record still 7.57? Sounds doable to me, perhaps with 800hp or so :p

  • Satan's car, right there

    Awesome 0.O

  • Straight up nasty. Nasty in the good way. I think Rob showed some of the naysayers out there. Even surprised me.

  • how many horsepower does this beast have? I'm pretty sure that's at least 700...

  • around double that.

  • It has around 1400hp

  • 700 ha

    its like 1300

  • This thing is just unreal man!

  • bullshit thats an rb30? crazy!

  • Yep, stock block and crank too :-)

  • DAMN.. 7 sec on a stock block nd crank..!! thats amazing.

  • is the block filled/partial filled? Anything done to the crank? thats incredible.

  • Nope, totally stock unfilled block, stock crank, stock cradle, stock mains bolts, not dry sumped or anything, trust me, we are as surprised as anyone it holds this much power, we are now going for 6s/200mph with the exact same motor but in a lighter car, time will tell :-)

  • Good luck with that, I hope you guys make it ;)

  • Hi ! What is yours max rev?

I think its not possible to rev more than 7K ?

Can I contact you by email ?

  • Haha! Let us know when your first run will be mate. I wouldnt miss it for the world. Cheers Robbie. All the best for you and your crew. BRING IT ON!

  • Wow RIP SNZ, congrats!

    You're car is truly amazing.

Was this still in street trim...? LOL

What was your quickest time in street trim?

  • We did 8.7 on treaded tyres, muffer, all lights, full street trim etc, since then we have taken out the headlights, put on different fron guards, removed the muffler and gone to slicks, other than that its still the same as the 8.7 spec.

I'm sure with muffler on and lights back in etc, it'd still be able to run a 7 on slicks.

  • I'd imagine so...

That's really impressive, keep up the good work!

  • Awsome Robbie. How about dropping the weight to class specs and running it on street legal tread. Will it still do a 7 you reckon? Cannt wait to see you next mate. Im a huge fan and troyrotor will always support you and your crew. Kind regards, RPITUP05!

  • The 240 is 217kg over weight and there really isn't that much that could come out without wrecking it as a street car.

We had real bad tyre shake around mid 8s with the treaded street tyres but as soon as the slicks went on it was good so I don't know, even if we were on minimum weight if we'd get 7s on that type of tyre.

  • All good mate. You da man. Bring on da next project. R.I.P.S hard!

  • Cheers, the new car is about 1/2 way finished now, all going well we should see 6s/200 with the same RB30 or at the very least its going to be great fun trying..

  • bloody awesome stuff robbie,i was there that day and saw the run, damn kool.are you running next weekend at the outlaw drags,12th april

  • I don't think so, we blew the trans and I've done what I set out to do with this car so I don't think I'll push my luck any further, I'm more than happy with the results, the car is in one piece and will make a nice street car for someone.

  • I'll say. SEVENS!!! z gods be proud.... But you're gonna sell it?? How much would you expect?

  • nice robbie

  • This is sick whats the fastest time for an rb30?

  • This is the quickest RB30 car in the world.

  • doesnt it have a rb26 head on it?

  • Having a 26 head doesn't make it a 26. Nice work on the run.

    Rhys.

  • yeah i know i built a rb26/30,,chasing 1400hp,should label it a rb26/30 not an rb30,i think its a great car none the less.

  • Best of luck with yours, we've had a great time with ours, been incredibly reliable considering the beating I give it.

  • thanks mate but im stripping it down, sold the rb30 bottom end will crankshaft builders billet crank, carillos and arias pistons, still have a full house jun head for sale if you have any customers interested, cost me about 11 grand, asking 10k complete with hypertune plenum and 96mm throttle body and 6boost exhaust manifold.(no turbo) can e mail you pictures.

  • Yes it does. The '30' in RB30 referes to the capacity of the engine, no matter what head its got its still a RB30.

Guys with RB26s don't call them a 26/26 as far as I am aware.

  • Well said lol.

  • by july 6.94 times lol
