I used to love this webcam but now it only records video, no photos. Every time I try, no matter what resolution or setting, I get "capture failed." I've uninstalled and reinstalled from both the cd and the online download numerous times, but nothing works...

I agree who needs to see a video on a box.. Do we all hang the box on the wall after we take out the product NO .. if the thing works you toss the box. I use to buy and I still to buy my computer parts OEM which means you get the product without the box and your not charged for the box.

Really why cant logitech make a decent quality webcam .. you call that 1080p??? THATS THE BLOORIEST SH1T EVER!! and ok it had good lighting but I saw other vids with the same blury sh1t nomater the lighting.. and its EFFEMINATELY not 30fps... this is 20fps max... even the lips have ghost effect!!!!

microsoft livecam has SUPER quality but crapy software that doesnt allow 1080 video record.. but I saw a guy here with 3rd part software that recorded 1080p at 20fps with no ghosting like this sh1t!

I got this cam and Logitech has updated the software 6 TIMES since release of the cam and this release is BEAUTIFUL! Check out my reviews of this on my channel and you'll see what I mean...VID 3 is the best encapsulation of the whole series I have done on this already and just brought it home at 2:15 p.m yesterday! Use this on GMail voice and video chat to blow your friend's minds on their home phones!

You can't make blanket statements like this because every computer is different either hardware wise or in the way the user has it setup and what they have installed etc... This is exactly why we need to quit considering all the information from the internet as the gospel truth.

Hey pal, I'm pretty sure the Right Light is used when light needs to be corrected. So no shit you won't see the difference with good lighting.

Also, just record the software direct capture. It's just as easy, and it actually benefits people, rather than your 'always from the webcam' shpeel being almost analogous to as you put it "selling technique".

And the right light probably actually INCREASES 'drag' in dark rooms, considering it's adding extra processing to the film.

The Rightlight feature probably fixes the exposure when it's too bright or too dark, since your lighting was good it didn't need to correct anything.
