  • Excellent, thank you. Le Creuset do make a stainless steel knob to fit the "dutch oven", about £5 in the U.K.

  • Is the red wine vinegar needed? I don't have any but I want to try this recipe tomorrow.

  • @Anotherhack69

The red wine vinegar isn't necessary. It gives the bread a very slightly yeast flavor. If you let the dough rise for 12 or more hours, you'd get the same flavor.

  • @bobbilly9

OK thanks. BTW, will this bread taste/feel like French stick/bread/baguette? That's my favourite.

  • @Anotherhack69

To me it's close to a french bread. I always add ground flax seed when I bake bread now which is healthier and more flavorful.

  • Excellent concise video with clear complete instructions.

I also appreciate your effort in providing the written recipe.

That makes this video even more useful.

Good techniques and tips too! A+++

  • @Honesty4Peace

    Thanks!

  • Great video!! Can I use a cast iron skillet with a glass top does that affect the taste?

  • @investo100

I never used anything but the Le Creuset dutch oven but I guess it would work. You may have to adjust the cooking times.

  • looks great will try your recipe very soon. Thank you!

  • Would double the vineger give this a tangy taste like CA sourdough bread?

  • @bcoverss

The 1/4 teaspoon in the recipe isn't that strong. You can always experiment but I don't think it'll taste like sourdough.

  • its much easier for me to wait for 1 day than 4 hours

  • @nandottt

You can vary the amount of time but 4 hours is the least amount to use for a good loaf of bread.

  • I love the no clean up part.

  • FABULIOUS. I LOVED IT!

  • thanx very much.i love the no mess AND bread that my family actually likes.the big holes and hard crust of the other breads are ok only once in a while.

  • I will definitely be trying this recipe. Personally, I prefer anything with less holes; a quirk my youngest daughter & I share. Big holes in things give us serious creepies, so kudos to you for developing this! I often added vinegar to gluten free baking. made things so much lighter & fluffier. Thanks!

  • This has got to be one of the best looking loaves of bread I have seen on YouTube.

  • looks simple going to try it thanks for showing how simple it can be keep the recipes comming merry christmas
