The ice melting doesn't literally show that it's getting warmer out. However, some real life indication might be the 40% thinner ice caps. How you interpret that is your own business.

Solar? Heard of it? Yes, I have heard of it, and I can guarantee you I know exponentially more than you do about the practical applications of solar. Unless there is a major breakthrough in the production of 99.9999% pure, that's six-nines-pure silicon, there will be NO practical applications of solar in the world, because solar power costs 25-35 cents per kilowatt hour, more than twice what we pay out of the plug. You also have the problem of power storage, solar only works when the sun is out.
Solar only works when the sun is out, even if you had the panels to do it you need to save power for night and cloudy days, and the storage system to power cities for days does not exist.

A lot of changes--adaptations, evolution of understanding and how we consume while continuing to do so--over the years and decades will keep us acclimated enough to survive, and each new generation will be born into a different world and culture of thought than we are in now. Did you know the Ozone layer has the capability of repairing itself. And that it is in fact normal for the Earth to go through cycles in which the atmosphere will deplete and regenerate over time. You see, we're on an axis, therefore, we aren't a constant planet and don't sustain a constant climate. Therefore, our climate changes, not necessarily by human interaction, but also by nature and natural emissions such as Volcanoes and other land forms.

Good idea for a metaphor, but it's kind of not totally accurate or super well-executed, seeing that us non-ice humans don't melt above 1 degree Celsius, like the ice sculptures do. Maybe wax candle figurines would be a cool idea too, but it'd make a much bigger mess than the ice sculptures did... so yeah.

If u look behind the video, it only takes a relatively short look at our past. if you go back farther you see that no we haven't obliderated our limits. besides, Al gore's own charts show that global warming always occurs before the rise in CO2. But yes... global warming supporter or not... i call BS on this video. I'm not against like... trying to improve our world, its just not so freaking urgent. There''s no need for drastic measures.

What do you mean drastic? Many changes at once? A lot of changes--adaptations, evolution of understanding and how we consume while continuing to do so--over the years and decades will keep us acclimated enough to survive, and each new generation will be born into a different world and culture of thought than we are in now. Future generations will take for granted what will be new for us and require us to work to adapt, and then they will have the changes to make they will not want, yet must do.

Did you know the Ozone layer has the capability of repairing itself. And that it is in fact normal for the Earth to go through cycles in which the atmosphere will deplete and regenerate over time. You see, we're on an axis, therefore, we aren't a constant planet and don't sustain a constant climate. Therefore, our climate changes, not necessarily by human interaction, but also by nature and natural emissions such as Volcanoes and other land forms.

The Earth has been through a series of natural disasters (Continent Separation (Pangea), Dinosaurs, Great Flood, Ice Age, etc...), and despite what hypocrite Al Gore would have you believe, whether or not someone uses a 1600 watt hair dryer, drives a Prius, or eats a burger, it will not make a difference in the natural cycle of the planet.
